Good morning LL,

Thank you to everyone for your support and help during Lancet Watch 2012, and with the diagnosis for Blue. We are just taking it day by day right now. He is still happy and engaged with the family, interested in treats/food, etc., and the steroids are helping enough that he is able to get around a little bit in the house. My big fear is for when the steroids stop working so well... but I will think about that when it happens. In the meantime we are spoiling him rotten.

Karrie, we have this device

to help lift him and it really does help. However, like you mentioned, it does not take male dog anatomy into account... we have to clean pee off it after we use it to get him out to potty.  I will do some more searching and see what I can find, but this one is working OK for now.

Bailey has had her condo taken over again  she is doing fine though. She seems to have escaped the lancet episode unscathed :thumbup and is practically blue this AM (and hopefully not on her way up!)

Here is a pic of my beautiful boy. I posted it in yesterday's condo but it was late, so here it is again for all you early birds!

Aww, Blue is a beauty! Thinking of you, and I'm glad Blue's getting spoiled rotten! I didn't comment, but I did follow Bailey's lancet adventure - so relieved that all turned out so well!

Awww...your Blue is beautiful! He looks like a real sweetie. It's good he is happy and feeling better and with his loving family
Glad Bailey is doing well, and that's almost a blue!

Awwww Melissa, Blue looks so sweet. :-D

I'm so happy that Bailey passed that nasty pokey thingie, with no harm done. I figuratively held my breath for a couple of days. nailbite_smile

Nice AMPS for Bailey!

That is a beautiful boy you have there. Glad to hear the steroids are helping. We always use a towel under the back half when Charlie has had surgery. Still thinking of you and sending healing vines to sweet Blue. ((((Melissa))))

Ahhh - didn't know you already knew about the assist options. Sure beats a towel ;)

Glad the lancet passed through and poop patrol is over. My heart would have been in my chest the whole time.

Blue, what a handsome guy you are! Melissa, could you cut a hole in the sling in the appropriate spot? :-D Bailey, you are a sweetie to share your condo with your buddy. Hope you have a nice evening cycle.
Liz

Bailey is a doll to share her condo, and Blue looks like such a sweetie!!

Wow, you are close! I'm on 55th, a couple blocks east of Nall. I drive by the old Wild Oats pretty much all the time and try not to be bitter (and mostly fail). I am pretty psyched that they approved the Woodside Village project... I've looked over the plans, and the gym improvements will be sweet! Not sure how I feel about the number of rental units going in (all with free gym memberships), but at least they are higher end. Will be interesting to see if the new Walmart complex in Mission pans out as well... I have no idea why they seem to think people are going to want to live upstairs from a Walmart.

Woodside is a bit pricey as far as gyms go, but their yoga and pilates programs are top knotch (comparable to studios, but you get a full gym for less $), the locker rooms are really nice, they have a pool in the summer, and all their equipment is newer and in good shape. To me, it's worth it to have all that, and it's on the way home from work and only 5 minutes from home, so it's easy to make myself go. Their tennis lessons are really good as well, though also pricey. They even have a bar, which cracks me up. Though, it is great for poolside cocktails in the summer...

I haven't run at Loose Park in awhile... I tend to forget about it! I do like Mill Creek Park on the Plaza... great people watching, and if I get tired, it's easy to get back to the car!

Now you have me craving a Carolina from OKJs!!!   I told my sister we couldn't go there until I'd lost another 10 lbs. Guess I'd better get to it!

Hi Melissa

So glad to hear the great poo watch is over and all is ok for Bailey. And Miss Bailey...what are you doing in yellow almost blue?? Hope your day was a little greener.

Blue is gorgeous....we send prayers and healing vines for him. Hope the steroids help him. What great beans he has!

Have a great evening!

Awwww! Blue looks like the best dog. What a good boy. I'm sending lots of healing vines and white light and everything I can muster to speed Blue's recovery or at least help him feel better for as long as possible. I hope the prednisone helps.

Blue is a beutiful boy. I adore dogs and cats. He looks very sweet and cuddly. Take good care of yourselves and your fur kids and one day at a time is wise and all you really can do. My prayers and many healing vines go out to you all.
