Hi Shelley, and welcome to the forum! :bighug: So glad Oliver is home. Elise gave you the link to the posting guidelines. To start, we like to have the cat's numbers in the subject line of the thread so that the mods and senior members of the board can scan the forum easily and check up on everyone's kitties. You can update it throughout the day. Yours, for example, should read like this right now:

2/4 Oliver AMPS 598, +3.25 556

Look forward to seeing your updates on Oliver!

BTW, when you have time, can you edit the meter in your signature now that you've switch to a human one? To edit your signature, you go to your name in the top right corner and click on signature. Just make sure to save your updates :cat:

Hi Shelley! Hope you had a great first day on the lantus board :)

Can you remind me where in the world you are/what time zone. I think I remember you might be on the west coast, PST? Many of us include that in our profile. It can help to figure out who to tag if you need help :)

Yes! Pacific Time. I looked for the place to put it but I didn’t see?

Hi Shelley!

I hope you are well this morning. I see your +2 was a pretty large drop. We encourage a +2 before deciding on bedtime to see if more monitoring may be required overnight and alarms set. A +2 that is the same or lower can (but not always) indicate an active cycle where more monitoring may be needed on that cycle.

it can be pretty quiet on the forum that time of night in our time zone, so if you need any help, here are a few members that are usually on at our PM +2 time. It’s so nice to have members from all around the world since someone is usually around to help anytime. You can always tag someone if you have questions and want to get attention by using the @ symbol and then start typing their screen name. For me, for example would be @thebigfuzz

Depending on my work schedule, I am sometimes in bed before +2 and my hubby monitors. If I don’t work early the next day, I am usually around at that time.

@Chris & China (GA)
@Wendy&Neko

There are others too, but these are the ones I normally see around our PM Preshot due to our west coast time zone.

thank you so much for this. What is the drop that would indicate we need to monitor more during the night? Drop of 100? 150?
