2/4 Mickey dosing question - time change

Hi there!
Well on 2-5 his shots are 11a/11p and on 2/6 I need to have the shots at 7a/7p I will not be able to do split dosing as I will be on a jet plane!
My vet tech will be taking care of Mickey and doing shots from 2/6 to 2/11 at 7a/7p

Hmmm. You can give a shot at 11pm on the 5th? Can you shoot early at all? If not, that shot and/or the 7am one needs to be reduced. I'm thinking half the dose (1u) for the last 11pm one. Then maybe 3/4 dose (1.5u) for 7 am and back on track after that.

Will the sitter be drawing the doses? I'm almost thinking that it should be a very slightly skinny 2u - like with the stopper top edge just above the line instead of even with it (needle facing up). That would be about 1.85-1.9u - just to be on the safe side while you are away and he has been running lower lately.

See what Vicky thinks on the 11p/7a shots.

I cannot shoot early on the 5th I am working until 10pm. I could however get the shot in immediately when I get home. Like 10:15pm would be the earliest. Unless I can bribe the dispatcher relieving me to come in early..not likely though.
Ok, so, half dose pm on the 5th reduced am on the 6th and regular dose the evening of the 6th.

I hope you see this before you go to work. Sorry, I've been AWOL, sick with my first cold in over a year.

I agree with Sheila. At first I thought you could give the 1.5U tonight since the shed will be emptying, but the problem with that is you may end up with a non-shootable number at +8.5 in the morning! Can't have that. So 1U tonight and 1.5U at +8.5 in the AM or thereabouts if my clock math is correct. Approximately 10:30PM to 7AM. That should keep him safe and allow for a shootable AM number.

How fun for you to go to Florida! While we can't complain about the weather in my part of the Midwest this winter, I know I could sure use some beach sun just about now!

I am sorry you are sick. Hope you are feeling better soon! Those colds are awful.
I am taking my nebulizer with me because I feel one coming on.
We are going to Hutchinsons Island FL. Our friends bought a house in a gated community there.
So we are beachin, fishin and such!
