We had a great cycle yesterday:

We finished the bag of freeze-dried chicken and started a new bag of shrimp. He loved the first couple of pieces, but has decided he's not into it now. I feel bad when he doesn't want his post-poke treat. Plus, those shrimps stink!

I'm very curious to see what he does today. I just hope he lets me leave the house. I'm glad we can tell that he seems to hit his nadir pretty early, though. Thanks to those who've been staying up with us. I'm really glad I came here!

Hey Monica! Wild ride with Sir Atticus! GOOD JOB!!! KT is a 'fishy' cat but the only thing those freeze dried shrimpies are good for is sending flying down the hall...waaaaay down the hall. He won't eat them at all. We stay with the chicken and liver. Have you discovered that you can buy freeze dried chicken DOG treats cheaper that it saying 'Cat' on the package? The only difference is they're bigger pieces. I just break them up...I get them at PetSmart near the bottom shelf. They're called 'Prime Taste Treats'.

Atticus decided to put his blue suit on today- yay! I was worried he'd be bouncing up to space with all the greens he's had.

Lyresa, what the heck kind of silly marketing deal is that? I'll check out the dog aisle next time I'm at the store. I've never hung out in the dog isle before. The shrimp treats weren't cheap, either! And the whole room stinks now. Miranda kind of likes them, or I'd throw the bag away. She's figured out that Atticus gets a treat when that beeping sound happens, so she noses up while we test now. I've got to give her one when I give him one or else.

Guess it works because there's a lot of people that buy the cat ones. Like you, a lot of people that have cats don't have dogs so they never see them either. We have cats AND dogs so hit both sections which is how I found them. If you can afford the 'big' bag ($14 here), it's a much better buy than the smaller bag. There's chicken and liver both.

KTs meter beep is the 'treat' alarm here also - I get 16 legs waiting...3 cats and 1 drooler...

Nice blue!! Oh those shrimp treats do stink and are expensive. Tarragon made it through 1/2 the container then turned his nose up at them. Luckily my dog will eat anything! :lol: So glad you are here and Atticus is doing so well.

Oh my gosh...my guys thought the Pure Bites Freeze Dried shrimps were the bomb!!!! I actually got poked back for not handing them out fast enough! :lol:

148 at +6. Haha, just when I was saying how nice it is that he hits his nadir early! What a jokester. We started on a can of Thrill whitefish treats. He inhaled it. I swear I can still smell that nasty bag of PureBite shrimps. Beth, I'd send them to you but I'm afraid the post office would flag them as biohazard.

Melissa, I think I'm going to give them to "my" 2 outside stray girls (the neighbor moved and they didn't). I've been feeding them for months. Sorry to say, but they get store brand kibble. (I can only do so much.) They'll probably be happy for the shrimp.

LOOK HOW GREAT ATTICUS IS DOING!!!!!! He got Green! I am impressed and know you are doing a great job--First time I have seen a 0.85U dose but whatever it looks like it's working :mrgreen: Moonie hates fish(is she really a cat?) and loves the halo livalittles expensive treats(of course) :lol: :lol: :lol:
Put any smelly treats in a large plastic bag with a zip lock top to prevent stinky house!--Have a good night--Looks like Atticus is feeling real good!
 
Very glad to see Atticus' numbers - he's doing really good!! I also buy the big bag of freeze dried treats for dogs - so much cheaper than the small ones geared toward cats but the same product! too bad my cats have decided they don't want those treats anymore... and that means no treats at all.
 
We're not going to shoot tonight. An hour and a half later and he's only at 115. Texted with vet and she thinks he may be starting to correct. We're both curious to see what his numbers will be later tonight and his preshot tomorrow morning. Going to give both of us a break from the every 30-60 minute testing tonight. Let's hope he doesn't head to the yucky floor.
