Good morning LL! We thought we were off to a good start this morning and maybe going seeing some action this cycle. I guess this is action, just the wrong way! Zener, what's up with that? Sigh. Otherwise, he seems fine. Anne is off to Phoenix for two days for a wheelchair rugby tournament so I am Bean-In-Charge for a bit. I hope everyone is doing well. I haven't been around much. We've had a hectic week with all kinds of things to deal with.

OT: The kitties slept in the bed last night which they haven't done for quite a while. I think they knew that I was sad because my brother-in-law died yesterday. It's a shock because he was one of the most health conscious people around, very fit and trim from running, ate healthily. He had gone out for a bike ride and some hikers found him lying beside his bike. So it's a sad day here. :sad:

(((Liz))) I'm so sorry about your brother in law. That had to be a shock with him being so fit and health conscious. Do they know yet what happened? Sending you lots of hugs and comfort vines.

((Liz)), so sorry to hear of your loss. Prayers for you and your family during this sad time. Of course that's why the kitties came to bed with you. They always know when we are in need and give what they have. If only folks were as perceptive and responsive.

Zener, how do you even do that!?! From this vantage point it looks all but impossible to bounce that high, that fast. But there you are on the ceiling!

These cycles are rather ugly. I am thinking about a dosecrease tonight to 1.75u from 1.5u but maybe I just need to wear my patience pants a little longer. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers at this sad time. I just talked to my sister and she's doing OK, considering. That German heritage is good for times likes these.

Ann & Tess: It was a beautiful spot and he was doing was he loved to do. We should all be so lucky.
Ann & Maggie: My sister, two of their kids, and the deputy went to the spot today. His bike was parked at the end of a bench and he was on the ground. Whatever happened was very sudden. He was 69.

(((Liz))) So very sad to hear about your DBiL. Thank goodness for our kitties in times like these...they really do know when we need them the most..

I hope Zener gets back down quickly for you!!

I'm so sorry to hear about your DBiL. It is some consolation that he was doing what he loved and in a lovely place. I hope you and your sister are doing OK. And you're right -- the kitties do know and do what they can.

I think raising Zener's dose makes sense. It's a less than pretty cycle. Black is NOT the new green.

Liz my sincere condolences on the loss of your brother in law. My uncle was also the eptiomy of healthy living but died suddenly at only 52 after returning from a run. These things just happen sometimes. I'm glad the kitties are comforting you. Maybe Zener's numbers today are reflecting your sadness too.

Crazy cats. At PMPS, I gave Zener his usual 11% with miralax and Tillie (the civie) some 4% with miralax. Zener finishes his bit and decides that 4% looks good so he starts to push Tillie out of the way. He got a bit huffy that I wouldn't let him get a double dose of the miralax. :lol: :lol: But I did get him some unspiked 4% and he gobbled down a whole ounce. :shock: :shock: He also got a dosecrease so I am wondering what kind of action we'll see with a dosecrease and reduced carbs. Stay tooned!

Patty: Looks like he's already coming down. Stinky pinky never looked so good.

Marje: No, this sister lives in southern Illinois. I'm not going to the funeral because it's just too hard to get there from here. I talked to my sister today. When I suggested that I come in the summer, she liked that idea.

Liz, I am so very sorry to hear about your DBiL. Life can take such quick and unexpected turns sometimes...it's a reminder that we need to "pet more, worry less."

((((Liz)))) I am so sorry to hear about your DBIL. He was one of the lucky ones to go ahead quickly and quietly doing what he loved to do. It's those who are left behind to grieve who must go on: treasuring their memories but also coping with new responsibilities. Please extend our deepest sympathy to your sister and family.

I hope that the dosecrease will get Zener back into better numbers. Good luck with it.

I'm not surprised that Zener and Tillie wanted to be close to you to comfort you last night. Kitties are very intuitive.
