First post since Friday - we went away for the weekend and a friend came in to look after the cats.
As Honey is so close to no insulin, I decided to not have my friend give her a shot - with all the related hassle of testing etc..

I have no idea of her bg levels since Friday pmps but I tested her tonight and we got a nice 96. I have no idea when she last ate but she didn't seem very hungry, just a nibble (food was left out).
Hoping this is the start of an OTJ trial!!

off to visit some condos...

Re: 2/3 Honey pmbg 96

If you just fed her, try to get a test in 2 - 3 hrs if you're awake. Food acts to stimulate the pancreas to produce it's own insulin so it may bring numbers down. Also, small frequent meals are the way to go so you don't overwhelm her pancreas. Please test at your usual shot times and get some spot checks. I don't want to call this a trial yet since you weren't home to get numbers. (We can always back date a start date for a trial.)

Ok - looking good...
She definitely hasn't ate for the last 2 hours - she's sleeping on the sofa next to me, looking pleased with herself :-D

So, should I start OTJ trial tomorrow - ooh, scarey!

All the beautiful green! Well done Honey! Good luck with the trial if you decide, Denise!
