Well, I'll have to close the bathroom door when giving fluids. He got away and wasted some ifof the fluids when the needle came out. Lesson learned. I still gave him some of his favorite freeze dried food that he can't have any more because it's high phosphorus. If he links the two together maybe he won't mind it so much. I don't see any change in him giving fluids except he drinks less water leading me to believe he's self hydrating and he might not need them just yet. The idea was to try and bring down his creatinine by dislodging a possible stone. I'm still giving ondansetron twice a day at least until after the ultrasound Thursday. If nothing is there I think I'll ask to try an antibiotic and hope it will help and not upset his GI track. Something has to be causing this unless the kidneys are just failing from old age. Thankfully he's been eating. He's u dear the bed more but some of the times comes right out when I look for him to test so I'm not sure that means anything.

Thanks for the prayers and vines. I'm sending them to those in need as well.

Elise, did anyone tell you about the EZ IV Harness? It might be helpful for Max. If you want, I can send you mine to try. I would like it back, in case I have to give Harvey fluids, but you could see if it would work before purchasing one.

I think his coming out from under the bed for you is a good sign. At least, that's my story and I'm sticking to it! ;)

Vines and prayers.

Max hates to be restrained. As long as he cant run away from me I think we will be fine. Thanks.

Max ate at pmps and ran away from me when I came with his insulin. He clearly thought fluids were coming which they are. Unless they have made a change in him which I doubt I hope I can suspend them for awhile. Maybe he's remembering getting we last night. Since I lost some I'm short a day with this bag and at the end so I won't need to stand up to see whether we are done. I guess I'll spill out a little so I can just wait for the bag to empty.

No green but mostly under 150 so I'm not complaining. The cold I thought I beat came with vengeance yesterday and I don't feel well.

Guess I'll get the dreaded fluids over with now so we both can relax.

Sorry to hear you're not feeling well Elise....I'm sure the stress of all that's going on with Max doesn't help your immune system either

We're all praying and sending out best vines in hopes of a good outcome on Thursday!! :bighug::bighug::bighug:
