2/28 Sweetie AMPS 291, PMPS 248: is he ready for increase?

Hi, Sweetie has been on Lantus now for 10 days. He has had 1.0u for 14 consecutive cycles. He goes into the vet next Tuesday, 3/5. Should I go for an increase now (tomorrow) or wait until Tuesday?

I have only been able to do tests at the preshots (about 6:45am and pm) and once before bed, +4 or +5, so there isn't much of a curve the last few days. I'll be able to test more on Sat and Sun though, so I could wait until then if that is best.

Also, it seems like his ears are getting MORE sensitive to the little pokes, not less. (But I get my drop of blood anyway because I'm getting tougher.)

He's gotten some green on this dose and I wonder if he perhaps came down into green on the a.m. Cycle of 2/26. I would like to see a couple more tests, if possible, in the a.m. Cycles. A +2 or out the door (assuming you work) and an in the door test would help us towards "seeing" where he might have been during the day.

While my gut tells me he will probably be ok with an increase, I'd like to see more tests first.

I can test tomorrow morning at +1 or +2.5, but then not until PMPS. I see what you mean about wanting an idea of where the bg might have gone on 2/26 since the following morning it was high enough to look like the top of a bounce.

I'm going out now to pick up some syringes with .5 marks in preparation of some kind of adjustment eventually. My originals are just have whole unit marks. We have to get prescriptions for them here in CA apparently.

Actually you can get up to 30 without a prescription.
I got mine from Walmart - Relion brand.
