Increased a couple days ago and she's just sitting the the 300s, hasn't gone down at all. Could it be time to use a new pen? This one is right at 2 months old and it's her first pen.

I've been here 2 yrs now. I use the insulin to the last drop, never had a problem with the insulin.
Sometimes our kitties just need more time to adjust to the increase.

I agree with JoyBee...I used my first vial of Lantus for a year - down to the last drop. It's highly unlikely that after two months that your insulin has gone bad.

Just one question about that - has it been refrigerated the entire time? Have you left it anywhere that it would get too hot or freeze? If no, then the insulin is fine. Looks like he's due for an increase tomorrow...just needs a little more insulin...

Try to be patient...it takes time for this hormone to work.

I've seen some people post that they change their pens after the first month, and others to the last drop so I wanted to be sure.

And yes, I wanted to be sure about the insulin being fine before I increased tomorrow.

It's been refrigerated the entire time, never left out. It was shipped to me without an ice pack though, but when I checked here they said it shouldn't be an issue.

I'm not sure where/who posted that they change after a month - but generally around here everyone keeps their insulin in the refrigerator and uses it until the last drop.

Is it possible you read that on the FDMB sister page on FB?

Nope, I don't use the FB page. I definitely saw it here but it's very possible they were older posts. I saw it mentioned a few times back when I was first researching Lantus pens, sometimes I find really old threads. Good to know that's not the standard because I thought that was a fairly short lifespan too.
