Last night I wasn't sure how low he could go, starting in the red zone. He was dropping and I stayed up as long as possible to see where it would go. I ended up giving HC even though he was in the blues so I could get some sleep. Either that halted his progress or he bounced...or both is what I believe may have happened, but I couldn't monitor any longer. Again we are starting in the red. I stayed with 8 units. I am home today so will try to monitor with LC only to see where he goes today. I'm still not 100% sure if what I'm doing is the right thing to be doing or not. This is all a learning process to me, getting into new territory with Max. If anyone has any input, please let me know. Thanks for all of your time yesterday too.

It’s nice how he flattened out last night so you could go to sleep. Too bad he likes roller coasters though. I bet he comes down today again though.

Good morning. :coffee: I edited my first note with more info. Yes, I stayed up until 1:00 am here in NC and I usually go to bed at 10 pm. I did everything I could to try and stay awake lol ...coffee, cleaning closet, etc. I really am trying to get him to stay in greens and blues more. I hated to give the HC ....but with Max, he can go through all of the colors of the spreadsheet in one cycle! As usual, I'm clueless about what he's going to do and yes, I do tend to get anxious when I'm in unknown territory. I gave that HC earlier than I would have, hoping for him to flatten out some so I could go to sleep. Thank you Suzanne. Hope you have a good day.

It looks like Max is being bouncy. I don't blame you for feeding HC so you could sleep. You have to take care of yourself too. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

It's hard to know what to feed when they are dropping fast like last night. Maybe next time about +3 you could try feeding some MC to slow down the drop so you can sleep.

Try to get a nap - or a couple of short naps today?

Will try that next time. Thanks Carla.

Looking like he’s trying to clear a bounce today, gave a very small LC snack at +9.5 to try and keep him from bouncing again.

I still don’t know what the best thing is, so I went ahead and took the decrease he earned before the bounce. I took a smaller decrease and went to 7.75. Not sure if it will make any difference. Trying to stop some of these dives and bounces. I’m already feeding small amounts of LC through the early part of the morning and one snack in the afternoon. I wish I did a better job with Max but it’s so hard with everything factored in. He seems to be doing okay though right now.
