good morning, all!

last day of february...and what a busy year we've all had already!

all 5 p's for the boy already...looks like he's got plans today.
bring it on, binks!

so, i'm trying to analyze (over-analyze, perhaps) the Smudge cat and my relationship with her. She pulled a weird move last night...
Now, the truth is...nobody but me (and my sis, of course, but she's not here) likes Smudgie...she's independent, insistent, alpha-minded, and very determined.
I love all that, but am having issues with the fact that what has happened to her has made her unbelievably clingy, and it's causing minor problems with Binks and I.
we'll figure it all out...but it leads up to her wacko behavior last night. :-D She is Velcro Cat x 100...if not behind closed doors, she's ALWAYS on me, following me...etc.
So last night she followed me in when i went to take a long hot bath....and she is no waterbaby like Binks. But i must have taken too long reading in the tub, cuz danged if after about a half hour, the little poop got in the tub with me! she hates water...but guess the need for huggies was stronger!

crazy, huh? what kind of kitty is that needy? I have to tell you, it was truly cute and cracked me up at the same time! and BOY...did she LOVE the toweling off!
rambling story..but, you now...when you're not truly mobile...things like this occupy your day!
Hopefully, she will one day return to her queen-like, bossy self...i dont let anyone talk her down when they're here (cuz we know they know)...and she's getting as much reinforcement as Binks will tolerate.

sending healing energy to all our ailing kittens and beans...MJ, Claudia, Barb, Caryl, Devon, Ele, and WCF,thinking of you (hoping i didnt miss anyone)...and hope everyone is starting off their day well...
Now to go get my Tortie and take a bath! :lol:

SOunds like a real good start to the day for Mr Binks. Keep it yup guy.

What a cute story about Smudge. Poor little girl she sure needs to be with you right now doesn't she? But to climb into the bath with you well that's really something. Kind of reminds me of when Tori was a kitten. She always loved to perch on the sides of the bath tub when Heather was taking a bath. SHe actually jumped in a few times too. She seemed to really enjoy it. Hasn't done it for years now. Funny now the relationship she has with Ayanna is very similar to that she had with Heather when they were both little.

Funny story about Smudge! Of all my cats who have loved me, none have loved me enough to jump in the tub with me :lol: :lol: :lol: Dat's a special kind of luv!!

Wow, Celi, I'm glad you didn't get clawed half to death! Chaos, bathroom kitty that he is, jumped into the tub with me once time, and one time only. He was so unpleasantly surprised by the sudden immersion in water that he pretty much tore me to shreds trying to get out. Pink bathwater, very unhappy kitty who refused a towel-off, bleeding bean... total disaster. Now he just peers over the edge of the tub and stares at me, it's much better that way.

Go Binks... looking good today, buddy!

Willie goes through phases where he is really clingy... Miss Belle would do that too! Willie likes to sit with me in the bathroom when I take a long soak. I have an old claw foot tub, and there is only about 2 feet between the tub and the toilet. Willie will sit on the covered toilet seat, but the longer I soak, the more he forgets there is water in the tub. He will start to make a move to come join me, but then I splash some water, he remembers, and lays back down. Until 15 minutes later.... wash, rinse repeat about 6 times. :lol: :lol:

Poor Smudgie. Fingers and paws crossed that she is feeling more secure soon!

Nice green AMPS for the Binkster, Yes he does need to get in first.

Too funny on Smudgie, but those 5 years must have been hard on her. But, getting in the bath! :shock:

you guys make me laugh...

i guess it's my day to be under the weather...should have known it when i was so mentally fuzzy this am.

I'm basically just setting the alarm, testing binks...then going back to sleep.

i'll keep up on him...but its hard to look at the computer screen...so i'll steer clear of it and update his numbers tonight.

Hey guys - happy last day of february! Love the smudge story - wow, and in the tub! I wonder if she'd try again. I have a civvie who loves the water. She hasn't ventured in the tub, but will sit on the side. She's a funny one - I can be watering the plants outside with a hose, water her too, and she just sits there, lets the water rundown her back. Many a time I have found her sitting in puddles. :shock:

Hope you get to feeling better. The story of Smudge/tub just made my day. You are making up them five years in leaps and bounds for her. She's won my heart too.

Celi. My first reaction was a hearty laugh, then awwwww, poor thing, How desperate Smudge was to be with you, that she would jump in the water with you. And like Violet, I'm surprised she didnt claw you to pieces.
Checkers sits on the hamper next to the tub, but has never tried to join me.
I could see where Binks would get his nose out of joint with her hanging on you constantly. My tuxedo civvie, has spent most of his time in the bedroom, since getting Clancy last year. Little one is so joyful and playful and Tux doesn't like it.

Binks had a lovely day today. :-D

Sorry you're not feeling so hot, Celi. Hope you feel better tomorrow.

Smudge gives new meaning to the sport of Olympic diving! How deep was the water? Did she swim, too? Awesome!

Now you just have to hope that Binks doesn't take to heart the song, "Anything you can do I can do better"

I hope you feel better Celi. How cute that Smudge is loving you so much he would even jump into the tub. Does Binks get jealous. When I had two kitties and Maggie would sit on my lap, my GA kitty did not like it - he gave me "the stare"! Nice numbers for Binksy.

Hope you start to feel better soon! Your kitty sounds like Kazi -I can't even go into the bathroom without her trying to bust the door open. If it is latched she sticks her paws under the door and howls. I don't need kids; I have Kazi! :roll: :lol:
