I was slacking the last couple days in posting, just super tired with work, but rest assured Kona was in good hands.

Yesterday, I came home to a pink PMPS. That was because I was paranoid leaving her at home with a 157 at AMPS and was in fear of a crazy drop into limes when I was gone all day. I ended up loading both auto-feeders with eight 14% snacks. This was overkill, but nonetheless, the safe and smart thing to do I think.

Upcoming!!! - I leave for Arizona on Friday morning and won't be back until Monday. I'm leaving Kona at a Pet Hotel who will give injections, but doesn't test.

I'm having them feed her exclusively Glycobalance 14%, twice a day right before shot times. I'm also dropping her down to 1.0U as a vacation dose. This will probably be too much on both fronts, but I'm worried about a hypo event when I'm gone.

-------------------------------

Okay, I'm off to work all day today back at PMPS. Kona will get 8 snacks of Steak Frites at 5.5% to keep her a float since she tested at 185 this morning.

Have a great day, thanks for checking in on us! Keep those kitties safe out there!! :bighug::cat:

Have fun on your trip! Maybe next time you have to go away you can ask the vet techs at the vet office if they would be willing to pet sit. They'll be familiar with giving injections and testing. There have been past FDMB members who lived near each other and would often pet sit for each other. There was at one point long long ago a list of LL members and their location.

Leroy's watching his friends on the beach. He hasn't quite made it down yet :cat:

Hi Jason :)
Was just thinking that I haven't seen a post from you. But I'm not so regular either since I started working.
Worry about limes when you're away is something I totally get. Safety first! sounds like you have a good plan.
Will the hotel give you updates on Kona?
Wishing you a good trip :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I'm sure Kona will be fine at the Pet Hotel,:joyful: I've never heard of a Pet Hotel LOL, but it sounds like a great idea! Hope Kona surfs safely for you this evening!:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:I wonder the same as Shelly, will the Pet Hotel text you updates on Kona in your absense?

I'll ask around at the vet office next time I go. That would be nice if they would be willing or able to care for her.

Thanks, Shelly and Ruth. Yes, work has my posting not as consistent. Which is unfortunate. I'm not reading other posts and continuing to learn from the community.

The pet hotel didn't give updates last time she said with them when I think they claimed that's what they offer. I was a little annoyed last time, but to tell you the truth it kept my mind off worrying about Kona while being out of town. If I got updates such as photos, I might be more worried. It's kind of like that old saying.... "no news, is good news." They have my Vet's phone number and location and they are authorized to give her whatever care she needs. I'm sure I would get a call if there were any emergencies.

Hi Jason and the girls!

Beautiful start this meowning. Surf safely Kona.

Jason enjoy your time in Arizona. Even though you'll be worried about Kona she'll be in good hands I'm sure. Take that time to enjoy and relax.
