good morning everyone:coffee:
so this morning was a awesome, Hendrix and I had such a good day yesterday and this morning was really good too. I’m super duper proud of him and myself for all the hard work and determination we both have done. I cried a lot of happy tears for him this morning going through his spreadsheet. I cannot believe how far my sweet boy has come since January. I’ve never been so proud. I’m super Hendrix is very happy as well since he is super snuggly and follows me around everywhere now. Even though yesterday he was grumpy with me he still knows I’m trying to help him and loves me with head bumps and snuggles. :bighug:

His PMPS was at 167

He had a very nice breakfast and took his medicine no problem. I’m sure he misses eating mice krispies every morning but he didn’t mind switching to chicken pate. He loves it. We will keep everyone posted again today because I know he has a few fans following his progress :cat:

I have mc food for him. It’s fancy feast medleys wild salmon which is 12% I just fed him some low carb should I feed him a little bit of the MC right now? And test in 30 mins or 1 hour?
For the data and to see what he does with the LC you can get another test in 30 min. I suspect he may need a tiny bit of the MC. He seems to have a similar trend as my cat Moey...they go down for the first 3-4 hours in the beginning of the cycle. Then they start coming back up. We don't want to overcarb but, we also don't want to get into reduction #s(40s).

Okay I will test him in 30 and see where he is at with the LC. If he drops more I will feed him some MC and test him again in 30 minutes

He’s at 59 right now should I feed him some mc and test again in 30? He’s super grumpy today
I'd probably hold off on the MC. It seems the LC is keeping him surfing. As far as testing, the more data the better imo but, if he's being grumpy that's your call on testing. He's not in dangerous territory but, I do suspect he will probably go down a little bit more. If you wanna just give him another snack and retest in an hour...that should be good.

ETA: He may not drop anymore too. He may just surf from here on out. These kitties can be unpredictable:cat:

He sure is unpredictable I mean I know now from the last couple days that he drops at +2. I will test again in 30 just because I’m nervous he’s going to drop again. And he’s grumpy because he’s tired of being pricked but who wouldn’t LOL.

It’s hard testing him he won’t even let me near his ears lately....and I’m scared from him being upset and growling that it’s going to give me an inaccurate reading because he’s mad or upset. He’s been swatting and biting at me a lot lately.

Edit: I tricked him and got him poor kitty LOL. He’s at 74 right now.

Stress can elevate #s. I don't have too much experience with that in my home setting. At the vet's office...sure....their #s are almost always elevated in that environment.
Someone else may have some insight about stress, during home testing, elevating #s.

Yeah for sure I know that the stress of the vet can easily make their numbers go up like crazy!! That’s why I just do home testing now because he doesn’t like the vet. And he’s not too mad but he does get snappy with me lol. Little chunky monkey.
