HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BOY DO LOU he is 8 years old today :mrgreen: 8 yrs ago today I was working and taking his Mom with me since she was overdue she was my first litter to be born well a xray showed one dead kitten or so the vet thought so we did a section I can still remember the vet telling me as we did the sx to go get the incubator and me asking why since it was going to be a sad birth but she said you never know and of course out came Do Lou my love he was weak and another vet really worked with him to get him going it was several days at home before his Mom got the hang of being a mom with one kitten sometimes sections really mess up their maternal instincts if its their first time she would hiss at him that first 2 days and i just had to hold him to her and she accepted him finally and well here my boy is today and I have this board to thank for how well he is doing with his FD LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


All P's in place and breffis has been eaten

Happy, Happy Birthday dear DoLou, Happy Birthday to you!! I just heard thru the kitty grapevine that we are going to have a party. Wow, what a story of survival with DoLou; he is a miracle kitty.

I never knew Do Lou's story. That is very special - what a survivor! Happy Birthday Do Lou - you are a miracle kitty. You've started this special day well - have a great cycle!

Hey Do Lou! Since it is your birthday we need a party! Complete with a cinnamon cake I think. And we need to go and visit Rusty on the big city. So.... get all ready and I will pick you up so we can celebrate! In NYC dude! Cake to be had, partying with our friends, and oh yeah.... we got to get at those hot dog vendors again... well I do not have him to lantus board yet but this is Do Lous really I guess you could call him a brother since it was a repeat breeding of Do Lou's for my second litter and I had 3 blues from that litter so I told him I hope to see Louie here soon he is trying to make his SS now and he did his first hometest this morning and his first shot :-D

A very happy birthday to Do Lou. Donovan was a "lost cause" at birth too. He was born by c-section, and the vet pronounced him dead. His breeder was there and she retrieved him from the trash (!) and got him breathing. Here's to Lisa and everyone else who goes that extra mile for our special babies.

Just saw this in yesterday's condo. Wouldn't that be hilarious if we have met and didn't know it? :lol: I've been volunteering for probably 4-5 years so there's a chance we have (probably pre-FDMB, though). I don't go as often now either, now that I live in SC and have sugar kitties at home, but I almost always work at the shows in Charlotte and Concord and once or twice I worked in Winston-Salem. I know many of the breeders by sight if not by name, because there are some people who buy from us every single time and usually stop and chat.

yes we always went to the winston- salem shows, High point and Charlotte not concord though

+3 226 vomited about a hour ago quite a bit :cry: gave a dose of pepcid he seems fine now and hungry but I told him he needed to wait a bit to make sure his tummy is settled

ate some wellness and is acting ok and keeping it down so hopefully its just one of those I have to vomit cat times for hair or you know just so the Bean can clean up the carpet :roll:
