I do too, Tim. I have a feeling that he is going to be dropping again, as he has the past few weeks. It's just a feeling.Hopefully Jude keeps the momentum up especially now that the dental is over with!
Jude's dental went very well. His numbers remained steady throughout, right in the blue/green zone. He didn't need any extractions, so we don't have much recovery from the procedure. When he came home, he ate right away. The vet told me not to worry if I saw fluctuations in his numbers, but so far he's pretty steady. So, I couldn't ask for a better outcome. The only issue is a common one, and that has been that Hazel (his sister) has been knocking him around a bit and hissing at him because he smells like the vet, but that will soon fade. I hope that Nestle's procedure goes equally well. How did the dental go?
Nestle has his coming up in a few mo ths and I'm stressing about it.
Wishing you a calm day![]()

Jude and Hazel are not litter mates. Hazel is a calico. She was a formerly feral cat that I trapped, had spayed, and intended to release back outside, but she persuaded us to let her stay inside, so she's now tame (spicy, but tame). She and Jude get along fairly well, but they definitely don't cuddle like your bubbies do.That's so wonderful to hear. Thanks for putting my nerves at ease.
Is Hazel and Jude real siblings? And is she also orange?![]()
I didn't PLAN on becoming a crazy cat lady. The universal cat distribution system dealt me in big time.Oh my gosh! You’ve got a whole crew there I didn’t realize! So cute.

Here is a picture of Hazel, and the rest of my clowder, John Lewis, Harper Lee, and Zelda Louise, the offspring of another feral cat who is wilder than a March hare but who I trapped, spayed and now feed outside (her name is Willa). I tried to find homes for the triples, but I could find no takers--can you believe that, given how pretty they are!?! They are the sweetest cats!
Where I live (rural south US) we have a lot of feral cats--it's a big problem.

You got so lucky Mary! Look at all those beauties. I love Hazel's intense glareI didn't PLAN on becoming a crazy cat lady. The universal cat distribution system dealt me in big time.

It's not ideal, but it's what we have. I did try very hard to place the triplets when their feral mama first brought them to me, but none of the local rescues could take them initially because they were completely full, so I continued caring for them. Then I got attached to them. When I finally found a local rescue/placement agency that would take them, I couldn't bear to let them go because I was worried that they wouldn't be placed with responsible pet owners. If a trusted friend wanted to take one or more of the triplets now, I would consider giving them up because I really don't like that they live in a house-divided, but I'm very attached to all of them, so it would be difficult to let them go--it would have to be the right home. Hazel is about four and the triples are two years old.Amazing! You may be approaching cool cat lady status. Harper's a cutie too, I have that same scratching post but Petey seems to prefer my furniture -doesn't scratch it just reaches up for big stretches and poke holes in everything! hahaHarper, John Lewis, Zelda
