Big appetite this morning but sort of waned during the day and a pmps

What's the minimum a cat should on lantus eat before insulin shot? Sometimes coda will eat about 1oz only and then go to eat more again 2-3 hours later. How much does food effect cat's bg during the cycle, if he's more of a grazer?

We have lots of grazer kitties here. He doesn't need to eat a lot before his shot. and many people will give the shot while kitty's head is in the bowl. You just want to make sure his appetite is OK before giving the shot. The fact that he eats at around 2-3 hours later is good, beacause that gives him some carbs to balance the onset of the insulin.
