Well a little higher than I expected her to be this morning but then again someone got into the cupboard and knocked down the drooler's cookies, so there is a possibility that she got to help with the spoils of the raid...lol Didn't find any with teeth marks but one never knows.

....there's always the crumbs ohmygod_smile

And aren't they calling for a bit of snow today? Isn't she sensitive to barometric pressure, etc? :?:

Re: 2/26 Autumn amps-181

Well we weren't suppose to get anything until later tonight, but at 8am when I went to get smokes it was already snowing very fine flakes, so yeah I think some of it is the barometric pressure as well.

Soooo many thing to take in to account, makes it hard on the mommabeans.

I'd still bet my $$ on her being OTJ soon, but if not, she'll be well regulated on minute doses, happy and healthy. :-D

Here we go again...she is headed the wrong direction again, which again if she holds true to form she will take a dive in a couple of days and ask for less insulin..lol

Because I got an extra 4 hrs :o sleep, I didn't get a spot check until +4.5, so I'm gonna wait until like +8 to test him again. I try not to do it more than I feel absolutely necessary, since I know the time will come when he's low and I have to test ever 30 min for hrs on end, so if I can give him a break now, I do.

He's still doing well without being wrapped up. :-D as long as he doesn't need his ear heated, that just takes too long for him to be still.

I seem to remember, mid cycle spikes pointing to too high a dose, isn't that right? Maybe she truly doesn't need the dose she's getting?? :?: Especially seeing that all the other s(h)tuff has now been taken care of? Just thinking out loud and trying to remove the profanities. ;-)

Re: 2/26 Autumn amps-181,+6-212

Yep midcycle spikes are usually too much insulin causing rebound especially if she decides to drop towards the end of the cycle when the insulin should be waning. depending on how high she goes today I may drop her to .25u and see if she holds more steady. I have a feeling I'm going to need to go shopping for the motorcycle jacket fairly soon... :-D

Yeah I was the same way with all of mine if they are running high I only test enough to see which way they are trending, because I know there will be the day when they keep me up testing every 30 minutes so why waste the strips when I know they are in absolutely no danger of going hypo.

Of course, Lucian being Lucian, HIS mid cycle spikes did NOT mean he was getting too much. ohmygod_smile

Gotta find a tux for Lucian to attend the party.....I know I have a small black bowtie somewhere and could make him a stiff white collar......would have to take a pic! :-D That would be too cute! :-D I've seen them for sale, both the tux collar and motorcycle jacket, usually around halloween. :-D

You know you would have to 'dress' all her sybs (one at a time) and take pics for her party. :o Would make a great album!

Re: 2/26 Autumn amps-181,+6-212

LOL yeah I would but I would have to sedate a couple of them to even get them 'dressed' let alone a picture of them...Bert my big blue point meezer is the most laid back easy going guy until you try to put a collar on him...then the rodeo starts...lol.

Maybe I could at least get a harley bandana on him and take the pic quickly.

Re: 2/26 Autumn amps-181,+6-212

I don't know if any of mine would let me even put a collar on, they haven't worn them in 4 yrs. :o

When they were inside/outside cats, they had flea collars and regular collars with tags. Just don't see the necessity since they are inside, on the 3rd floor, with interior entry and no possible way of getting outside, barring being carried there down the elevator. I still have 4 boxes of cat flea collars, that I had when I moved in and never, again, had a use for. along with flea drops, that I'm sure are all expired.

I'm renaming her Wrong Way Corigan...lol. But she does this every so often when I change her dose, I know she will settle back down in a day or two and then probably hit me with one of those super lows again.
