He was 440 this morning,. I actually ended up giving him 1u instead of 0.9u.I will be here 6+ to see how low he will be. I don't know if I made the right choice or not.
I think one unit is fine. Just try for that midcycle number.
His amps seems consistently higher am than pm. Some time we need some more night numbers. It could be that he goes down at night and bounces back up. It could be that he is in about the same numbers at night as he is in the daytime.
I will try to get some night numbers tonight. right before I go to bed and tomorrow early morning, I wake up about 6is am tomorrow morning. I wonder what makes him higher for his am shot :-| it doesn't seem like I can make him get out of 400's :-| except for last night but the didn't drop much during mid cycle :-|
and I thought he was getting off insulin soon .. I have a trip in May and I'm worrying!!!!!
so now I'm concerned about giving 1u tonight because I won't be awake to see if he will get super low. Should I give less to him tonight or should I see what his numbers will be during the day and decide from there?
I will not be around tonight and your pmps is late for most of our East Coast folks. Remember, if he is below 200, wait 20 minutes without feeding and retest. Then if he goes up, reduce the dose - maybe .5? If he is in the 300 range, .75. If 400, try your one again? Let's see what others think.
I think he is making nice progress as are you.
