I just realized - the shelter is right next door to the vet :p So tempted to stop by and bring home one of the babies they currently have (...or all of them...). But I also feel bad / guilty for putting Rose down and just getting more rats right afterwards, like Rose is just a meaningless object that can be replaced :(
 
At least he didn't go higher.

Shelter's are dangerous places. I waited all of 3 weeks after losing a cat before stopping in and seeing Neko.
