We’ve been giving Bella 0.5 units now for 2 weeks, and we did our first curve on the Tuesday that just passed and her numbers were great.
But since then she’s been more in the 200s and today for some reason 368 +3 after her AMPS. I’ve been struggling to give her the insulin (my husband is the pro) I get nervous, and lack the confidence. I’ve only done it 3 times and 2 out of the 3 she flinched so hard the needle flew out. One time I think it was too cold and the other I didn’t inject into the fat. I don’t think this morning was a fur shot because I felt her fur after and it wasn’t wet but her food was 3% carbs so 368 seems high and it’s high for her.
Should I keep doing the 0.5 for a few more days to see how she does? I’m at work all week and cannot do another curve until next weekend. And I feel so bad for her ears, it’s like I want to test her often but her poor ears are bruised
