Hello everyone, my 11 month old kitten first vomited a furball and then threw up his food twice. I have a CKD Cat and was wondering if I could give my kitten sub queue food and see if he feels better? He's not too lethargic and he still interested in food but mama is very worried. Do you guys think I should take him to the vet? I called and they said when a cat mom it's three times in a row you should bring them in but I'm wondering if they're going to do is give him fluids. Thank you

Sorry nobody replied, but no I would not give a cat (especially kitten) fluids just for vomiting. I'd be watching the other signs of dehydration (scruff not snapping back, tacky gums) and then seeing what vets advice is

He was treated and is recovering. He ate some ribbon and possibly a ficus plant. Has some pancreatitis. Got fluids and anti-nausea. Came home and is eating fine. Moving plants out of house!

As long as he's eating and not vomiting bile, your kitten is likely fine. (Bile is yellow and smells quite stinky.) I'd just give small amounts of food to make sure the kitten is keeping it down.
