Good Morning LL! Thank you Elsa! :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: Tess threw a mini PJ party for daddy bean last night, not too low but who knows where she is headed lately.

VETTY REPORT: Izzy is looking good, not even a dental needed, weight down to 11.5 pounds. Emma does need a dental and maybe a couple of teeth out. The stomatitis is worse and effecting some teeth now. We are stopping the l-Lysine which DR. S recently read some studies that say it can aggravate auto immune problems. We will also restart colostrum , but will try a different brand. I'm looking at one from The Pet Health and Nutrition Center. Has anyone used their products? Another new therapy is thymic extracts and I was reading about stem cell therapy being tried at UC Davis. So there are still things to try.

I got set up w/ Ringers for Tess too. Where are people getting supplies now? The bag we got from the vet is not DEHP free. Thriving Pets has DEHP free lines, but I can't tell if their bags are or not. I still have to call Costco and Walgreens too. I'd appreciate any info you have. Also, when do you usually give them? Any thoughts on whether AM or PM is better? We were thinking Pm, but I know squids can lower BGs so now I'm wondering if AM might be better?

WCR All 5 Ps, Clean Plate Club, Vines to all the kittehs in need of them and hugs to all their beans.

I think with the shortage, it is pretty much impossible to find DEHP free bags. From Tonya's site, she basically said the issue with the DEHP bags is pretty minimal, and that the benefit of the squids outweighs any potential issues (I'm paraphrasing big time!) with the DEHP bags.

Around here, the shortage has made getting squids locally impossible, although Dyana - who lives about 15 miles from me - did manage to get them from her local Walmart. I haven't been so lucky - anyone I've tried claimed they couldn't get them for me. The last I checked ThrivingPets was the only place to even mail-order them - all the other suppliers were out of stock indefinitely! Thriving Pets is where I get my lines and needles, too. Hopefully you'll be able to get the locally at a much better price!

When Trix was on insulin, for her it wasn't so much timing that affect her BGs as it was shot location. I tried all sorts of timing with the squids, but no matter what I tried, her BGs still dropped like a rock. The only thing that correct that was moving her insulin shot to her flank - a location far away from the squids, which we we do over her right shoulder.

Nice numbers today...start surfing now, Tess!!

Yo Tess, you're in charge of the lagoon tonight. I'm way up on shore!

Hi guys, good luck with the ringers and getting what you need for Tess. I hope that all will be well with, Emma. Izzy is doing well. Is she getting along with Tess and Emma yet?

Have a good evening. Welcome back, Ann!

I remember the same thing about DEHP free bags, better if you can get them but not absolutely necessary. Good for a slimmer Izzy. Hope the new supplements do the trick for Emma. Let's see a little surfing, Tess. :D

Nice numbers last night and today, Tess! Now no bouncing, mind! We just want more of the same, please.

I get my fluids and supplies from UCD. They are probably cheaper elsewhere, but the couple of times I tried to find some, no one had them. We only had to give them to Cinco a couple of times, so I have no help to offer on location.

Yay for a good vetty report on Izzy. Sorry to hear about Emma's issues, but sounds like your vet is on top of it. I highly recommend UCDVMTH for anything - we just love them!

Thanks Amy. I called Costco and Walgreens. Costco has it in stock but it isn't DEHP free, $86.69 for a case of 12 bags. Walgreens doesn't have it in stock. but can get it in. The maker is Baxter. Since he didn't have a bag to look at he wasn't sure if it was DEHP free or not. The info wasn't on the computer.. Found it on the Baxter site, not the DEHP free bags.:( it looks like I'll go w/ Costco, but have to find out the maker to get the right lines.

That's a pretty good price on squids these days! I'm glad you were able to find them locally. I honestly don't know if DEHP-free bags even exist anymore...
