Yesterday was a one cycle pink day with some yellow at the end of the first cycle and start of the second. Neko has lost too much ground on this reduction and it's been 7 cycles, so I upped her a drop today (from 2.8 to 2.9mm on the calipers). The lines on the syringe were so bad today that the dose looked like 1.5 units instead of the 1.75f she got.

2/22 Recap:
AMPS 357 +5 355 +9 294
PMPS 244 +4 339

In addition to the wrong colours Neko has given me lately, I got a shock when I looked at the 2 week summary on the meter. We had been running below 200 but are now over. I wasn't planning on checking the 2 week average today, but I had to start the meter again after testing because I dropped it. BG testing with a broken wing is still not as good as it used to be.

It's a not bad early spring day. It's alternating sun and cloud, both kitties are taking in the warmth in the solarium. Neko had a good yard patrol after last breffs. I hope they enjoy the day, it's supposed to return to eternal seepage the rest of the week.

I hope everyone has a great Caturday, gets to relax and recover. Healing vines to kitties and beans that need it.

Re: 2/23 Neko AMPS 400 +4 321

Hi Wendy, I hope you start seeing some better numbers from Neko, soon. Sending healing vines for your "wing" :) Hope you all enjoy your sunshine today!

Yes, Neko, we want to see better numbers than that! Those calipers are great. At least we THINK we are giving more consistent doses. :-D

+9 117
Looks like an all day slide. Nice to see normal numbers again during the day. We took advantage of the high numbers to check out a local market that specializes in locally grown/made foods. We might have gone a little crazy there. But I also stopped by the pet food store and stocked up on more freeze dried smelts and duck tongues.

@Courtney - We came home to much better numbers. It was nice to get out in the sunshine too. "Wing" is better, I took the sling off today and have been doing OK without.

@Rich - Neko slid down into some better blues. Hope she'll hang around there a bit. Thanks for the vines - I was out doing a bit of gardening with Neko so that is progress!

@Liz - Calipers are a life saver at this size dose. Up at 8 units it wasn't such a big deal. The current box of syringes I'd be giving her anywhere from 1.75 to 2.25 units if I went by the lines. And it is easier if two people are drawing up the syringe.

@Carla - Looking good so far for this dose. :-D

HI Wendy - I am sorry I keep missing your condo... not today though!

What a nice slide Neko has going on there... impressive! What a great surf that +9 would make. I hope her PM cycle is great too. Looks like the new dose might be a keeper. :-D Annoying isn't how off on the markings these syringes can be... I hope Her averages can get back under 200. How nice would that be.

We ended up with off and on sun today too. That was unexpected, yet nice. We too are looking at a week of the wet stuff, with lots of winds to stir things up even more. Oh what fun!

I hope you guys have a great evening. Your day sounds like it was fun. :-D

Much better! cat_pet_icon

@Michelle - still in the blues, so there is hope yet for this dose tonight! I didn't really have an appreciation for how bad the syringes were until I started using the calipers. :o Tonight is movie night. Part of the trip out was visiting a video rental place that is going out of business so we stocked up on a few. :-D

Re: 2/23 Neko PMPS 157

duck tongues? oy. i had to read that one twice! is that on the gourmet kitter menu?

just saw your last condo - yes, punkin had a few hours of green - the first time in quite a while that it lasted more than just an hour or so. he's been bouncing from them, but it was great to see mr greenie!

neko's made a nice recovery from the high numbers - that's a great pmps! perhaps that extra drop was just what she needed.

we've got the same weather again. the faucet just drips, although there was a little sun today to get us all excited!

BOING!! That answers the question of what she did while we were gone until +9.

@Julie - The trampoline is back in action tonight. ohmygod_smile You can buy a lot of freeze dried meat bits in the pet food stores here. In addition to the smelts and duck tongues, the treat cupboard contains both chicken and duck heart pieces, bison liver, quail necks, salmon pieces as well as chicken breast which is the standard test treat. The oddest one I've seen is water buffalo tripe but besides being smelly it's too big for cats. Neko gets a +9.5 snack and I like to mix it up and do something zero carbs. The duck tongues and quail necks are good for cleaning teeth, the hearts have taurine. And yes, I like to spoil the kitters.

Hi Wendy, she did have a nice slide and sorry about the boing!! I was wondering how your arm was coming along and sending more healing vines. I see you're using the calipers. I still have to order them, and you just reminded me. I hear you with the lines on the syringes. It make it a challenge to get a correct dose. Have a nice day. Give Neko some scritches from us.
