2/21 - PMPS 90 (.20units?)
2/22 - missed AM shot
2/22 - PMPS 76 - I think I'm being more conservative on the insulin so I think it may be .15Units. I'll have to post a picture. And I have to keep a reference syringe.
2/23 - AMPS 80
Sorry I've been awol. Really behind on posts. Please let me know if I missed anything yesterday or the day before.
My dog, Nike and I went to the University of Montreal yesterday for a cardiology appointment. We were gone from 6AM and didn't get back until 6PM. She still has severe heart disease. Managed with lots of drugs. She had an ultrasound of her kidneys and her kidneys are showing signs of disease/damage. So we will most likely need to learn how to manage these polar opposite treatments (one needs fluid, one needs a diuretic to remove fluid). Right now she is on baytril for a urinary tract infection and getting her to eat anything is extremely difficult.
Maverick got his blood work back. Potassium is a tad low. But his kidneys... urea/bun is in the normal range. CREA 147 with normal being 50-177. But he said that there is a new system out there that says we should be watching him. IRIS - that any cat at 140 should be monitored. I'm supposed to get his urine specific gravity and if it is less than 1.040 to call him. Remembering to do a morning free catch will mean an alarm really early and I forgot to set one.
Playing catch up with work today. Will be visiting as a I get breaks and when I have some downtime later. Missed you guys.
