2/23/17 Ollie amps 248 & possible am fur shot :(

Ollie at 248 which is ok since he ate a lot last night and not that many hours before amps. I'm so frustrated - all the work from being up all night last night working to get up from Ollie's pmps of 43 feels down the tubes because I'm pretty sure it was fur shot this morning. I'm bleary eyed, 3 hrs of sleep and woke up to the sound of him knocking down the kitchen garbage (forgot to put a chair against it before going to bed). I feel like it's back to square one again because this might have been the turnaround point. :banghead:

All is not lost, FS happen to all of us, at least you remembered to shoot, I was so tired once I just clean forgot to give George his shot, only realizing when I found a syringe full of insulin on the counter:rolleyes:
I was sooooo cross with myself, but you know what? He recovered, and I'll say to you what others said to me then, be kind to yourself and don't beat yourself up about it.
The depot will still influence his numbers somewhat and you may have gotten a little insulin in him as well.

Just from a housekeeping point of view where you have noted the dose could you write 2.25FS so you and everyone knows when you look back through the numbers.
 
Thank you so much, Gill. Tried to answer from my phone but I don't see my reply hear. I really appreciate what you said. I added the FS to Ollie's dose on the spreadsheet and I'll test later to see what's going on until tonight. I do appreciate all the support :)
 
Thank you for sharing that, Carla. It's so helpful. The funny thing is he seems to be feeling fine through all of this and was happy to take advantage of all the extra food I was throwing at him overnight :) Thanks again!
 
Glad everything worked out last night. Sorry I wasn't able to stick around with you but my sleep time is limited with my boy. Congrats on the reducie but hope Oliver decides to do that during the day next time.

Yes, please don't be hard on yourself about the FS. In fact, put a dollar in a jar and eventually treat yourself to something. My jar has treated my to many things over the past few years;)
 
Thanks, Karen. You have to get sleep whenever you can. Good point, would sure be easier during the day. I appreciate your support, that's a great idea about putting money in the jar, LOL. Have a good day today.
