Well I guess the decrease failed so I will start the increase today. Fingers crossed that he gets on track. I wonder what is causing this. I hope he just needs the extra insulin. He tried to cough up another hairball this morning so I think I will give him at least one of the Vet's Best Hairball Remedy each day. He won't eat butter. I don't think the VB is causing this since he hasn't had any in two days.

hmmm. I don't know that brand of hairball remedy but nearly all of them have some form of sugar added to them.
You'd be better off with Vaseline. or coconut oil.

the stress of hairballs and puking can raise their bg numbers.

There is absolutely no sugar and .04 carbs per tablet according to the manufacturer. I listed all the ingredients in a prior post and will do so again.

Psyllium seed, marshmallow, slippery elm bark, lactobacillus, aspergillus oryzae, papaya extract (Papian), apple powder, brewers yeast, calcium carbonate, dried chicken, defatted pork, magnesium stearate,

I looked up apple powder and it lowers BG as dues papain.

There is a nutritionist in a diabetes list that I will ask to evaluate it later for me. Thanks.

I use Vaseline just to be safe. Not bad numbers though otherwise, although I find myself wondering what's going on late in the PM cycle.. Occasional spot checks might be good.. Especially if he seems to be dropping before that..

I hope Max is now experiencing new dose wonkiness with a 322 tonight or maybe it's just day one of the increase. I've been testing up to +5.5 at night and once did a +11. Wendy, are you thinking I should test at +7 or 8 when he has numbers in the mid to upper 100 range at +3-5?

You have to loooove NDW...not. Chyna seems to take quite a few cycles to show any effect, but ECID of course ;-) I hope that the dosecrease brings Max into some nicer colors soon :-D
