2/22 Hendrick AMPS 411 +3 336 PMPS 161 +2 241 +3 161 +4 139

336 at +3 crikey

maybe one of those situations where the increase temporarily results in higher BG values? hasnt happened before. Very unusual +3 reading.
Yes this is 3rd cycle so could be NDW or new dose wonkiness...also could be a bounce from all the time he spent in blue yesterday am cycle. Give him a couple more cycles he will come back down. He is really chugging along well!

I guess what has me concerned is I have seen him drop quite a bit on 2u, and we are about to shoot 2.25u

letting him eat some MC for dinner meal and will test again before shooting in 30 min
So in future if unsure to shoot dont feed post here for advice and test again in 20 mins...generally if he is coming up after the 20 mins you go ahead and shoot unless advised otherwise.

If you have plenty of test strips and can monitor I'd say shoot the full 2.25u.

plenty of strips on hand yes. Thanks, I thought I remembered i was to feed him THEN test again, whoops. Will remember next time.

just a reminder of which ear was poked at last poking so I can always make sure to alternate
I see you have removed the R from the +1 column. The reason I asked was because when a cat uses R insulin (as well as the normal insulin…an advanced method which requires close supervision from very experienced people) it is recorded like that, so probably best to add it in the remarks column to stop any confusion:).

Meant to say not to shoot 150 or lower till you post for advice if it's your first time...

He is finally breaking through this is so awesome! Scary yes been there! But awesome yay Hendricks!

thanks, sorry for the panic-post. I'm sure it is something the long time members see time and time again

@Bron and Sheba (GA) good lookin' out mate I'm on it

I owe you a slab of fourX

;)

I tooooold you you'd probably see green ha! If not he was probably close to it

The reason behind the stall is to see if he's still dropping or not. Generally speaking, if they're flat or rising after the stall you're good to shoot (this is assuming you've been methodical about increases, etc). If they're still dropping, that's a harder decision. But if you stall too long they start to drop anyway due to fasting.

kind of a wake up call, I mean after weeks and weeks of home testing I felt like I had a pretty good handle on what number was going to display at this point, when I would go to test

+3 coming in at 161 with his typical nadir at +4/5

Pretty big jumps up and then down again....dont give too high of a carb at this point since he nadirs earlier
