Still kind of a stinky pinky couple of cycles and his numbers seem to be creeping up. This is Zener's 11th cycle at the s2.0 dose, but it looks like there has been a bounce or two in there. Wondering it if it time to consider this reduction to s2.0 a failed dose and go back up to the last good dose at 2.0, or wait another couple of cycles? Would love some expert eyes on Zener please. All 5Ps are in place and he seems to be feeling good.

You know I certainly don't have expert eyes! But some of what we see today may be due to the backyard ruckus. I hope it settles down soon and Zener can get back to work.

Lots of blues and greens at night for Zener. He and Tarragon have very similar ss's with lower numbers coming at night. He might be going lower than you know at night. I would be tempted to go back up to a straight 2 U. It's hard to tell if he is just bouncing or not but an extra drop or two might give him a kick.

Hi Anne, Liz, Zener,

I don't have expert eyes, either, and I assume that Zener's numbers are influenced in part by the various medications he takes, but I think that if he were my kitty I wouldn't hesitate to take him back up to 2.0 units. He has had greens at the skinny 2.0, but they are not really low greens. The construction at your neighbor's house may be an influence on Zener's bgs. (How long has it been going on?)
What were your criteria for shaving the dose in the first place? These readings are on the ReliOn, not the Alpha Trak, yes?

IMHO this is bounce action (Vyktor did a similar thing this time round - looking like he was coming out of it and then having another bit of boing) and I would wait another day (so 3 days since his 90) and see what happens. It is less than a week since his reduction too and although they weren't low greens he has seen quite a bit of green since then, more green than he was seeing on the higher dose.

Zener are you listening, there is a dosecrease on the table buddy so you better start working that juice and get your little furry butt to the lagoon!

Seems like Moonie does this too, she has 2 days with lots of green, then for 2 days she goes higher yellows, then after 2-3 days, back down again!
In your case, I would maybe try the last best dose, to try to even out the cycles--But please get other opinions also..You know just a drop can do a lot! Husg & Love from us!

Hi Anne, good luck with what you decide for Zener. I had one nice day of numbers yesterday, but today Mags is on the high end of blue for her. It's strange with the kits, but you do have the ruckus next door, too.

Thanks to all for your encouragement and input! We decided to go back to his last good dose - 2.0u. When we were on this dose before and he went below 50, it was a cycle where his appy was less than the best. Paws crossed this gets his range back into healing numbers for both cycles!

@Linda - Zener wanted to go in his backyard but he did not like those roofers. He gave them his best growl, the one he reserves for the UPS driver! :lol:

@ Melissa & Mr T - we were thinking the same thing, another drop or two might give him a boost, so we went back up to 2.0 tonight.

@Ella - thanks for the input, the roofers just showed up today, and the numbers had been creeping up last night, so we went back up. We are now using the ReliOn (the generic Arkray from ADW). When we shaved, he dropped down to 43 in one cycle. Looking back, it was a cycle where his appy wasn't all that great, so that may have been a part of his drop. Hindsight is 20-20. ;-)

@Serryn - we have instructed Zener to get his furry butt to the lagoon as you advise! :lol: We decided to be a little more aggressive this time, we'll see what happens.

@Roni - thanks for the input, we went back up to the last good dose, just a drop.

@Ann & Maggie - you are so right, it is strange with this kitters! :lol:

@Celi - that picture looks so much like Zener! We love it! :-D We're following your lead, trying a more aggressive approach this time.

We'll see what this return to the last best dose does for the big guy. Based on the status of the roof behind us, we expect those noisy roofers will be back tomorrow, but hopefully finish! Zener is outside right now, since it's dusk and they finally left! :roll:

Hi all! Express train for Zener? Must be that darn new moon.... Nice to see the blue. And good luck with the new dose. I too do not have expert eyes, but think I would have gone back to the last good dose. Hope this is a good one! Right Zener?

oh my on the backyard ruckus. Poor kitties! It is good to read that Zener is on backyard patrol. Mannie would be so proud!
