Re: 2/21 Tasha's AMBS 171 upped insulin to .1 +3=34

I guess the .1 was too much. just got a 34 at the +3 and having eaten 1/3 of a large can of LC food. Gave karo and will check in 15.

wow! thats some drop!

if u can, might be a good idea to start checkin her BG at +1 and/or +2,

kitties can be so unpredictable, but I'm so glad u caught the +3!

This is when she tends to tank if she is going to tank. She will be fine after this I think.
Although I will keep an eye on her. Must check her agin in 3 mins. so I will edit when I do.

edit: 15 mins. 43 gave mix of HC & LC food.

Ronnie means to check +1 and +2 so you can PREVENT the tank (you can feed HC food preemptively if she is dropping early, before she gets to the 30's.).

Have you thought any more about ways to measure the less than 0.1 dose consistently to see if that will work better for her? If you think about it, at a dose that tiny varying by even a drop can be considered dose-hopping, which with Lantus tends to lead to higher numbers. If you're giving a dose of one drop, then the next day you give two drops, that's doubling the dose. Just a thought, because I see lots of question marks on your spreadsheet as though you're not quite sure exactly what you gave.

The dose was consistent for the most part. I just wasn't sure it was what I was calling it. That was why the ? She doesn't tank at the 0++ and has been running a bit higher then I would like on it. The .1 is one tiniest droplet more. When she was on the .1 before, she would do great the rest of the day but tanked at the +3. She hadn't been eating much after her am shot and I made sure she ate this time. I guess it didn't do the trick.
BTW. her bg went up to 43 and I gave her MC to eat (mix of HC & LC)

+6=185 left very low cab food overnight (rated at 0% carb per 100 cal.) Not sure what she ate when. A tad surprised that she was this high at +6 coming from her +2 reading of 105.
