Happy Washington's Birthday; Happy Family Day to Everyone,

Rusty not only bounced, he was so raring to go this morning and so eager for breakfast that he scarfed and barfed! I have a sneaking suspicion that the tiny bit of 9% Turducken (a measuring teaspoonful) I mixed in with his bedtime food didn't agree with him (he was making odd licking noises after he ate some of his bedtime food last night, and now the vomit this morning). Well, he certainly doesn't need more carbs this morning and I think I'll ditch the Turducken (Stu got sick on it once, also)! The bounce is clearly a reaction to yesterday's lower numbers. Anyway, we've played a bit with all the toys and at the moment Rusty is lounging on the radiator. It looks like a nice winter day outside. We may go to the x-country ski area this afternoon. It'll be more crowded than usual because both the US and Canada have a holiday weekend, but hopefully many visitors will be heading home by this afternoon.

Everyone have a good holiday. We hope that all of you in the storm area are OK.

Nice that they did not predict this snow when my DD was packing. Hope you all enjoy the white stuff anyway...I know you will!

TURkey, DUCK, chickEN. (Merrick. 9% carbs) Sounds like it should be a good combination. But maybe those birds don't like each other and the antagonism seeps into the stew!

Wow, turducken cat food? I did not know such a thing existed! Well, I can't blame Rusty, that may be rich enough to make me ill too!

I wouldn't feed it again either. Maybe the duck is higher in fat than he's used to.

Darn Canadians. They've got all their shopping done and are heading back to chill for their last day off. I'm sooo glad I have the day off today. I don't think I'd be productive at all if I had to work.

Sorry about the bounce. After seeing what he did yesterday, this morning's numbers aren't surprising.

sorry Rusty's tummy was upset but I'm sure he'll be back to his old self and old great #'s by tonight.

Hi guys! Nice amps - predictable considering yesterday's low. I bet he will be green shortly.

Oh bummer on the scarf and barf... poor Rusty! I have yet to try the Turducken. Once in a while I will get the same reaction from Mannie with the T.Day Dinner - once is fine, serve it again and he looks at me like I am crazy person for even going there. well I hope Rusty feels better soon.

More snow? Seems alot are faced with that today. I hope you can go XCountry ski today. Sounds nice. :-D

Maybe not the gentlest of wake up calls, but ny morning kitty is good.!

Tess really isn't a fan of most of the Merrick foods. Too bad because they are supposed to be really good.

Rusty! Mission accomplished! Thank you for the rescue, but mannie and I are still up way above you. Maybe you could just tow us over to Gracie's? -- Tess

Rusty is looking great today! I just bought some Merrick BG this weekend... will be interesting to see how Willie reacts to it. Looks like the disagreeing dinner didn't phase Rusty too much!

Ha Ha on the weeds, Celi. Reminds me of Stu, who couldn't get enough of those weeds, especially brown ones!!
Rusty and Edward had a nice afternoon while I was skiing. They had some good grooming, and a few games, and after dinner a rousing game of "cat's cradle" with Red Ears' string. I decided to take the fat off of Rusty's dose this evening and shot a regular 0.5. Now that his numbers are on the whole lower, I'd like to try to avoid bounces like this morning's. I really like his "flat" curves and want to preserve them. Is it a mistake to shave the dose from fat to regular? Now that I've done it, I guess we'll see in a couple of days if it was a mistake or not!
Skiing was great this afternoon. Temperature was 10 F., just right for x-country skiing. There were more people than usual, but the trails were fine. The ski shop was having a sale and I bought a new hat!

Off now to visit some condos.

Look at those numbers for Rusty again. Just beautiful, despite the icky start to the day.
I can't even get those fancy foods where I live.
I wish I could access something other than FF and grocery store stuff. Checkers doesn't like anything.

Sorry about the barfing today....poor Rusty....and the bounce, too. So not like him. But you gotta love the PMPS!

The skiing sounds so fun!! You all always have such fun activities. Hope your party last night was great...it was last night, right? Or was it the night before? Yikes...my mind!! I can't keep up with the kitties' social engagements and all of ours, too. :lol:

The skiing sounds great. 10F? Brrrr - but you are right - it was a good temp for it. Beautiful too I bet. Ok - we need a photo of the new hat.
