*Sigh*

2/3 PM food remained. Poopy and Mia are sitting in the kitchen, waiting to see what momma offers today for nummies. Will retest in 10 minutes.

Litter box had two urine deposits and one rather healthy poop.

If next test is on the rise, considering giving shot according to scale (and may trim .1u off like I did last night).

This not eating thing is really starting to bug the crap outta me.

Dear Momma,
You really need to get with the program and get us something good to eat...
or else we wont eat to makeyou go crazy!!
Oh, and until we get some good nummies, I am gonna throw you some wacky numbers!

Teresa,

Has anyone suggested FortiFlora yet? Maybe a tiny pinch sprinkled over the food might be enticing. It's main ingredient is "animal digest" (yummy), which is what's used to get them addicted to dry food. Marilyn doesn't "use" it, but I do give it to my IBD cat, so he will eat his hypoallergenic Green Pea & Venison @ $2.25 per 5.5 oz can (he won't touch it without FortiFlora mixed in).

Retest 194. Going to shoot 1.3u and feed Sophisticats Special Diet Beef & Chicken (7% carbs). Other than that, all I have left are the two 4% carbs (Super Supper and Mixed Grill) and Tuna (7% carbs).

Grrrrr

Maybe some freeze dried chicken crushed on top? I get my civvie to eat when he turns his nose up at certain selections by adding that to the mix.

Poopy turns up his nose now at the freeze dried (and has even been doing so for the raw chicken chunks he loves so much the past couple days). Mia, on the other hands, loves the stuff!

Poopy is eating as I type. Instead of automatically opening both 5.5 oz cans as I always have, I only opened the one. Maybe a reduced offering will entice them to eat a bit more (and I can always open the other can when - and I sure hope it's a when - needed).

I really appreciate you all being here. :YMHUG:

We also put boiled chicken or shrimp on top to entice eating if noses get turned up. I wonder if they just don’t like a new smell in the food.
They always come up with something to frustrate us. It’s in their job description

If you want to try the FortiFlora, I can send you a pack of it. I bought a box when we were first transitioning Ruby and ended up not needing it. I've hung on to it, just in case I should need it in the future.

Update - we have poop! Both kitties have pooped this morning! :RAHCAT

I feel good....daa..da..daa..da..daa!

DH is trying to convince me the food intake has dropped since Poopy has filled out so well (he lost an awful lot of weight when Dxd). True, he has filled out, and has unbelievably fluffy fur, but cutting back this much? Just doesn't seem right.

So far, Poop ate about 1/4 C food this morning. (That's what, almost 1.5 oz.?)

The things that make up happy!

My Kitty loves FOOD of any type, BUT, she hates Mixed Grill and Super Supper! I sprinkle catnip on the food when she does show less interest.

Never thought I would see these words strung together anywhere.

You all crack me up.

I'm with Lisa and Jax- very few places that we are happy to have poop

I think 1/4 c is actually 2 oz. So he ate more than you thought!

Great going Teresa... er, Poopy.

Couldn't get home during the day until +8. They had eaten most of the 5.5 oz. can so I opened another. Poopy's +8 183.

PMPS 305 with about 1/2 the second can of food gone. (Means they ate 3/4 their normal intake.)

Shot 1.5u. (Should have been 1.7u per my scale but with them not eating as much I knocked it back. Also updated my sliding scale to knock everything back .1u until the food situation changes again.)

And we have more poop! Woohoo!

I was really getting worried the non-eating thing was physical. Nah. Just mental...I mean cat. ohmygod_smile

Regarding the food...I guess instead of giving them the 13 oz (or both cans of 5.5 oz) at once, I'm going to have to piece meal it out. What a drag!
