2/21 Missy AMPS 272 +2 166 +4 110 +11 211 PMPS 203 +2 184 +4.5 103

She just loves to dive! :banghead:

:( YUP. BUT, I can try to use carbs to contol it... even though I clearly still have not mastered it. Its the uphill from +5 - +12 that I have no idea how to prevent. Its like she is in this crazy cycle of ups and downs.:banghead::banghead::banghead: :arghh: :bookworm:

Oh Missy! Keep on keeping on. One kitty back in the day when I was very active on the boards, bounced her way into remission. True story !

I wish... the dream of remission is long gone with this one. I dream of green:D... and maybe a bit of blue:cool:. I also dream of a steady dose for more then a couple of weeks.:joyful:

PM I gave a bit more carbs, 12%, at +1 because this morning 9% didnt seem like enough. I know it doesnt seem to be a big difference, and with my other sugar kitty it wouldnt be, but with Missy every little thing seems to affect her. I will stick with 4% carbs until about +4 then drop to 2%.

She’s on a fairly low dose. Bubba was up as high as 5 units when he started coming down. Don’t lose hope!

PM... Is that a little too fast from 184@+2 to 103@+4.5 ???
Im still trying to learn what is too fast. If it is then going forward I will give more carbs at +2 and maybe 3 as well.
I want her to be lower... but not so fast that it causes a bounce.:bookworm:

@tiffmaxee
@Bandit's Mom

I did also give her a little bit of 12% now.
103 at +4.5 is not low. Just LC would be fine. A 100 point drop over the course of the cycle is not too much at these numbers.
By focusing only on preventing drops, you risk reducing her chance to go to green. Which in turn makes us think she needs more insulin. A vicious cycle :-)

I only gave a tiny bit of 12% at 4.5 because I was worried she was still dropping quickly.
I figured she would have hit green last night.. I just wasnt sure if I still needed to slow things down.
