Good morning, Im a day late with my Saturday oldtimer report. Spike is doing well with green/blue and a few yellows thrown in for color. Hes started being vocal and bugging dh for a treat in the wee (4:30) hours of the morning when hes getting ready for work. Spike used to finish Princess's leftovers and since there arent any hes missing out extra snacks. I do think this will be better for his waist line. One morning dh told me Spike was sitting in front of his plate with sad "puppy dog" eyes so he gave him a half can of food. I told him he cant do this before his morning test, just give him dried chicken treats. Another change in him since Princess passed is that he comes upstairs around 2:30 every night and sleeps on the end of my bed...on my side. This makes it hard for me to throw the covers off when Im having one of my hot flashes..lol All in all were adjusting to not seeing Princess in her favorite spot. I never thought Id say this but I miss her people food begging at every meal. I got her hand made urn last week and have a pic. Have a great week LL.

Good Morning Janice.
I love Princess's urn, it is very beautiful.
I'm glad Spike is doing so well for you. We miss your daily posts, but thanks for stopping by for Spike's weekly update.
Don't worry about the hot flashes, they'll be gone in a couple years.

it's so hard to adjust to not seeing the kitties where they are supposed to be. It's odd, but even though my soul-mate kitty, Pie, never lived in this house with me, sometimes I still expect to see him in certain spots. Maybe that means he really is still here, on some level.

I'm glad you are all adjusting ok.

Princess' urn is just beautiful.

I often touch Cosmo's urn in the morning or at night to say "good morning" or "good night." It was unexpected how much different Danger is now, as compared to before... so i suspect Spike will continue to develop new behaviors as time goes on. He might adopt some of her old ones too (and maybe not the ones you want him to!!!).

Hi Janice. I'm glad Spoke is doing well. That urn is beautiful. A beautiful resting place for a beautiful little girl.
