So the up side to having Curry isolated in the bedroom is that Sidney is getting more time w/me. Sleeps w/me a night now. She even curled up on my chest yesterday when I was snoozing on the sofa.
So the part of the baby gates are up....Then I did a trial run w/each kitty separately to see if a head would get stuck or something else occurred....Of course both kitties found a place in the gate that they could squeeze thru.....So I used cardboard and duct tape to patch that up. Then Curry saw that she could jump over the gate. So now I will invert the other baby gate over the bottom one to increase the size of the barrier and so that I can walk thru it rather than crawl through the bottom of it. I refuse to crawl every time I have to go into the bedroom....that's just not right.
Then the next step is to have Sid be able to view Curry while Curry is engaged in an activity. So no staring from Curry. That is where the baby gates will come in handy.....I can have the door open while I'm in the bedroom and Sid can choose to view or not to view the activity. She might just want to hear it first and then view at a later point.
Small kitten steps.
