Well in about 10 minutes we will be out the door and on our way to the Vetty bean's for Mz. Autumn's dental appointment...so of course she gives me her best ambg this week  Which is about to be shot to hell with vet stress and pain for getting her teeth worked on...Oy Vey!

Poor baby she and the rest of the fur gang just don't understand why mom and dad are acting strange and not sharing their breakfasts with them and haven't given them their own breakfasts. Autumn as so purry and cuddlely this morning, and so happy to see her daddy last night. She keeps going to her test spot and looking for her treats then going to stare at her empty dish..

As far as the snow storm, they keep saying it shouldn't start for us until later tonight, but it is already starting to snow in Kansas and I'm less than a hour from the Nebraska/Kansas border, I can see the storm clouds on the horizon already...got everything crossed that we can get our girl home again before it hits, at least with Jon home if push comes to shove he can get to her as he drives better in bad weather than I do.

Wish us Luck,

Mel, Maxwell,Autumn & The Fur Gang

Re: 2/20 Autumn ambg-165 Dental Day

Just dropped her off and came home and finally everyone got to eat!!! Now it is just the waiting game on the call to go get her and bring her home again. They did look at her back while I was there with her, and think that her walking with her back all hunched up maybe her anal glands so they are going to check those as well while she is under.

She broke my heart on the ride to the vet's,my sweet little girl that never made a peep the first day when we picked her up and drove her an hour and a half home, cried the whole 20 minute drive to the vet's. She is so confused on why momma wouldn't feed her, and then took her away from everything and everyone she knows and loves. When I left she was being cuddled and sung to by my favorite tech Bonnie. I love the fact that at my vet's the special needs kids get their own personal tech assigned to them while they are there and couldn't be happier to learn that Bonnie will be Autumn's personal tech today. Bonnie is awesome, she is the eternal grandmother type lady who is actually a retired vet that came back to work part-time as a tech because she missed the animals. She also has 8 special needs babies of her own at home, everything from a couple of her own sugarcats to a tripod kitty. Autumn couldn't be in better hands, and I was assured again that they would call me the minute that Autumn is ready to come home.

Re: 2/20 Autumn ambg-165 Dental Day

I'm so glad to hear Autumn is getting the special care she needs. cat_pet_icon What a wonderful person your tech is, bless her!

Would be great to find out that her anal glands are the problem and not her spine, they should be able to take care of that and it will be one less thing to keep her from being OTJ. This trip may be the best thing to happen to her. :thumbup Keeping everything crossed!

Not too shabby for a girl that has had no insulin this morning and just spent 6 hours at the vet's loosing teeth, having her ears and anal glands cleaned and in her mind generally being abused.

She got home just in time for lunch which she promptly demanded, chowed down like she was starving and proceeded to go beat the stuffing out of Angel and Patches for sitting on her window seat. Yep we are back to normal...lol

She is actually moving much better already, lord only knows how long her anal glands have been hurting her, as well as those BBs in her jaw, and bad teeth. I expect she is going to be sky high tonight, but to give her insulin right now would completely throw off her shot schedule so we will just get back on schedule tonight and let her chill, nap or as it seems the new norm so far....explore all the new places she can leap to...lol

Cedric had his dental yesterday and is still hopped up on his drugs. He had 1 extraction. This is probably why his BGs have been so very high (see his spsh). Tonight he was 279, after a better 214 this am. I am expecting a Lantus pen to arrive this week and put him back on the lantus to get him back to normal. Dr. Josh is hoping it won't take long. I had the same issue at my house yesterday morning - where's the fud mom? - but of course yours was multiplied exponentally!

Still not to shabby for no insulin now for 24 hours, a trip to the vet, having her ears, teeth and bum all worked on....and Oh is she purry, she has been handing out kisses, head butts and purrs to everyone that even looks at her tonight.
