? 2/2 Zhoom Boy - Curve day - dosing advice?

My Zhoom is such a bouncy bouncy kitty. I am doing a curve today and am seeing a high flat curve - is this a bounce? I think it might be a bounce. If nothing changes in this curve, should I hold the dose and do another curve in a couple days or increase the dose tonight from 1.25 U to 1.5 U?

I would not hold this dose. It's time for an increase to 1.5u.

Part of how you need to think about dosing is how low the dose is bringing the numbers. In Zhoom's case, the lowest number you've seen is 121 You have plenty of room to increase.

You do realize that you test more than enough to consider using TR?

Thanks for the advice. I increased his dose. Hope this brings some lower numbers soon. I have had plenty of people here on the forum tell me that I test enough to do TR. I don't feel like I understand TR well enough to keep my cat safe. If I did understand TR, I would probably give it a try. I keep reading the protocol. Maybe one day it will click. I am also afraid to shoot low numbers. I just got comfortable with the idea of shooting blue numbers. Not sure I could handle shooting greens.

With TR, I would never suggest that from the outset, you start shooting low numbers. Most people will start out by shooting above 150. As you gain more experience, you shoot progressively lower numbers. It's a matter of both experience and confidence. So far, it's a bit of a moot point -- Zhoom hasn't had that many lower pre-shot numbers.

If you do have questions about TR, please ask. There are many of us who have used TR and can help you to understand how it works.
