Scooter took a pretty nice dive today... he hit green yesterday too, and then stayed nice and yellow all night. I think this is the longest-in nadir he's had so far. This cat is so weird.

Ben and I are talking about getting another cat since I've decided to end my 4-year ownership of pet rats. The territory conflict is just too much, and I think Scooter would benefit a lot from having a girlfriend to hang out with :)

Awww you're going to get Scooter a girlfriend? I'm sure he would love a kitty companion. Of course, he will most likely end up being prettier than any girl kitty you can find! He's such a doll! :lol: :lol:
 
Haha, I could just see it, him and a solid black DSH... no offense to the black kitty lovers lol! I'm not going to be picky with color but I would like a short hair. Got enough fur on my clothes and caked around the baseboards :lol:

Yeah expecting some crazy numbers tonight... Scooter is so unpredictable...

Nice catch, Ry.....esp so late in the cycle. Glad you got him back up quickly.

Good luck with the kitten search...how fun will that be for Scooter?
 
Oh... I have had something like 14 of them in the past 4 years. None of them have survived to 4. I don't think any of them actually lived past 2. I've dealt mainly with rescues/pet store stock that have chronic illness their whole lives. I had two boys up until a few weeks ago when one of them passed suddenly, and now I just have one boy who is just over a year and a half. He will be going to a friend of mine who runs a local rat rescue when she gets back from vacation. I would love to get more but introductions with Bernard have always been a nightmare, he is a dominant male and he only ever tolerated one other rat (the one who passed).

what a nice cycle for scooter! should be interesting to hear what happens if you get a female kitter to be scooter's buddy! punkin and anya are quite the pair & they are obviously bonded to each other.
