Good Morning, Everyone, Happy Groundhog Day (I believe the groundhog saw his shadow, so we will have 6 more weeks of "winter").

Today is also Candlemas--half way between the shortest day and the Spring Equinox. In the Christian calendar it is the Feast of the Purification, but at our Candlemas "party" this evening we are going to celebrate the pre-Christian, pagan feast of mid winter. We are going to have a bonfire, toast marshmellows, and play homemade "percussion" instruments. We are having a potluck of finger foods and warm, toasty drinks. It will be the 4th party of the year (we are aiming for 20 parties, a party being defined as a gathering at which there is food and drink).

Rusty will not be attending the party, but he did have his AMPS and will have his PMPS on the "transition" schedule, getting back gradually to our normal shot time. Today we are at 5:15. (it is very hard for us getting up at 5 A.M.!), but tomorrow we'll be at 5:45. By Sunday we'll be at our normal time of 6:30. Rusty is having a post-trip, higher AMPS today and hopefully will come down gradually today and tomorrow. We had a great play session this morning with the tinsel wand and crinkle sack.

Wishing you all a good day and continuing to send much sympathy to Serryn and Lydia on the passing of Mil and Whisper. Sending healing vines to Sid, Rocket and to all kitties not feeling well.

Hi Ella, I was wondering if Mr. Groundhog saw his shadow and you confirmed it. I'm not surprised though. I have family in PA and NY, so was interested to hea! Have fun at your Candlemas party, sounds like such a nice, fun time. I know Mr. Rusty will get back on track in no time.

Rusty may travel well, but I don't think he likes it very much. I'm sure we'll see better numbers tomorrow when he has reclaimed his usual spot at the center of the world.

Thanks for telling me about the rainbow Ella, it was comforting and she sure has taken up residence in my heart. I feel like she sent me a couple of signs today. The first time I was looking at the garden and feeling sad that I wouldn't have to sweep all the bark and dirt and leaves back in from her kicking them out anymore when a sudden gust of wind came and sent leaves flying out everywhere. The second time I was lamenting that the only thing I had left of her was a little feather she had left in her bedroom when low and behold a bigger feather on the couch caught my eye. I feel like she is staying with me.

Another party?!?! :-D Good for you and Edward for making time to get together with friends so often, i wish i could do the same, but life always gets in the way it seems.

Nice AMPS, its not really Rusty's style tho. I hope he comes back into the Rusty numbers we all know.

Gorgeous numbers for Rusty today.. Love the Candlemas celebration!! Yes was a pagan holiday--
Have you ever had MEAD?? It is honey wine, so delicious..Hard to find but worth it--Have a wonderful weekend--We never listen to those dopey groundhogs, one sees the shadow one doesnt--Nutty little critters!!

Yup, it looked just like Celi's picture! We had a great time beating on "drums" and shaking coffee cans filled with popping corn, walnuts, etc. Good food, too.

Rusty had a good evening, but missed us. Not such a bad day for the day after a trip.

Just got home, so I will miss lots of condos today. Hope all is well in LL. Thanks for visiting us.

Rusty....nice to see you came down from your post trip high that is not like you. Lovely greens this afternoon!

Happy Candlemas!!! The party sounds like a lot of fun!! I love all the parties you have. Hope you have lots of fun in the City.
