Decided to take a mental health day and stay home from work, I will be doing a curve since I’ll be home. Last night we decided to give her a little more than 1.5 but not quite 1.75 to see if that does anything.

Yesterday my husband said while he was looking at her on the couch it looked like she did something weird like a hiccup or cough, so when she did it again at night he said that’s what it looked like she did. Maybe she has a slight cold, it has been cold here lately and our condo gets cold at night, I might have to pull out the heated pad I have for her. I feel like something is up because her sugars have been so up and down, she has her appointment in 2 weeks for a check up.

She was also twitching a little like her leg and abdomen. Of course I was starting to panic but then she was fine so for now I’m just monitoring.

I do feel the jump from 119 to 185 is from her being nervous when I have to wrap her up to give her meds. I feel bad but she needs the medicine, sometimes I have to trick her to get her and tonight I had to go from behind and grab her, I think I scared her 🥺

It's great you were able to get a curve. That's quite a drop from her AMPS to those mid-cycle numbers. I know you posted about her snacks recently. Does she get something at +1 to +3 to slow that drop? Those big drops can cause bounces. I hope Wendy weighs in with some advice for you 💚

No, she doesn’t get snacks at +1 and +3 because she’s still eating her breakfast. For example, today at +2 she had about 3/4 of the can left. At +4 she had a few bites left and finished around +4.5 and then at +6 she had a snack. Bella never finishes her food in one sitting. She usually is done around 2-3 hours after we put the food out.

I'm assuming you are feeding her a LC for her meals. Since the LC isn't slowing the drop from shot to +4, etc., you could slow the drop (flatten it, so to speak) by feeding a slightly higher carb food during the period between shot and the drop. Just a thought. 8/10 TASHIE pmps=HIGH! +Questions***
So the food we feed her is based on what her AMPS are. This morning she had FF beef feast which I believe is a 3% food but I don’t always go by that, I go by how it affects her. Her AMPS were higher so beef feast would bring her down.
