Yesterday caber 120 6 degrees

We are above zero today.

Olive is alert and bright eyes in the high yellows. Ummm not ready to accept greens yet. Not to bad when she's blue though. Guess she has to work one color at a time. Gave her zobaline last night and she didn't react to the shot this morning, not me running my hand down her back so it definitely helps with nerve tingling.

Will be at work all day today. Yesterday's 4 hrs felt like putting a whole day in. There was an admission when I got there.

Never heard of someone being allergic to lettuce or pineapple.

Have good day everyone.

Olive, whatcha doing with your yellow dress on?
I've heard of a reaction to pineapple....but lettuce? Seems kind of strange o_O

Glad the medication is helping.

Never heard of a lettuce allergy.
Did have a family member become allergic to all yellow/orange fruits (mango, pineapple, oranges, etc) while in her early 60s. She kept trying to eat little bits at a time, and in her late 60s, the allergy went away.

Hmm, I've never heard of a lettuce allergy, but I have heard of greens causing stomach upset.

I'm surprised that worked! I found out 5 years or so ago that I was allergic to shrimp. I had been eating it most of my life, so you can imagine my shock when it felt like my throat was closing up after eating it randomly one day, and then it was worse the next time I tried it. I miss it! I've been tempted to try it again to see if it was a fluke, but I'm afraid of the reaction intensifying enough to send me to the hospital.

I hope Olive's time in the trees is done and she gets back to the beach at least today. I'm so glad the zobaline is working!

What an awful experience for you. I think I would do as you are doing and avoid it all together.
Her allergic reaction was hives all over her body, but I don't think her throat closed up so it was safe for her to keep trying.
My daughter got covered in hives from eating shrimp when she was around 10. She has not eaten seafood since then out of fear of a stronger reaction, and she is now 22.

Surprised by PMPS, husband said her fed her 1.5 hrs before test and 1/2 can no less. After +5 I only give 1/8 can for any snacks.

Shots did not bother her today.

So much for that dose. Olive sounds like she is doing well.

I have a friend with a lettuce allergy, but it’s iceberg, romaine is OK. She also can’t do orange fruits or veg.

Do you think that was the higher dose yet? It was only the 3rd cycle of 7 u. So I didn't reduce this morning.

Olive had some good #'s last night! I hope she continues to do well on this dose.:)

lettuce? Seems kind of strange

Lettuce allergies can have severe reactions. They are caused by a sensitization to certain pollens. The lettuce has similar proteins as the pollen that the body reacts to.
I read that some people can eat the fruit or veggie if they cook it. The cooking breaks down the offending proteins.( I don't know about "cooked" lettuce  YUCK!)

With all the stuff they spray on plants it's amazing to me we all don't have allergies! Our Oceans are polluted & the earth that the plants grow in.
