2/19 Tipper AMPS 474 PMPS 330 Feline Herpes ?

Tipper had a dose increase to 3.25u this am. So far so good, she is eating FF low carb chicken feast as we speak- not her favorite but she's nibbling on it.

The litter box looks alittle less full of the huge clumps and she seems to be just a tad less thirsty.

Ketone test- negative.
The lysine arrived today and sprinkled some on her food (1/8 teaspoon).

She has had feline herpes for about 10yrs and stress seems to cause it to flare up- runny eyes sneezing etc. Could the herpes be making it more difficult to regulate her BG#s?

My knee jerk is that it's possible. I'd suggest posting your question on Health. There are often vet techs on the Health board who may be better able to respond to your question.

Hi,

Our cat Timmy has feline herpes, unfortuantly he is not our diabetic cat. One of the other FDMB cats has feline herpes, it's pistul's (lori and) gizzy. I was just talking with them today.
Maybe you could check with them. :razz: .
