Good afternoon LL!

As many of you know, Willow had to go to the ER last night and has been diagnosed with severe pancreatitis and elevated liver values. The Lantus Land Emergency Fund (LLEF) is conducting a fundraiser to assist with the costs of the ER visit. If you would like to make a donation to the LLEF on behalf of Willow, you can do it at http://www.Paypal.com. The payment should be sent to: Lantusemergencyfund@gmail.com. Also, please mark it as a "gift" under the "personal" category of "Send Funds" and include a note indicating your FDMB name and the name of the cat to whom you are donating.

On behalf of the LLEF, we thank you all for your donations to help our LL kitties in cases of emergency.

For members of Yuku, details regarding Willow can be found at: http://lalalalantus.yuku.com/topic/903/ ... Fundraiser

Choco and I donated to help out little Willow. We know from very recent experience how hard it is to end up at the emergency vet without the money that they want up front before they'll even look at your baby. We had some VERY SPECIAL people set up a fundraiser and because of this, Choco is still here today. Hang in there Willow and get better soon!!!

I just made a small donation. Sorry it couldn't be more, but it will help.
Uh, I didn't put my name or Willow's name on it

I just woke up from my nap and noticed this. Thank you so much everyone!!! Words can not even begin to express how grateful I am to everyone here. There was an amazing outpouring of support and wisdom when Willow was first diagnosed and battling DKA in Jan 2007. I was beside myself then, but knew that I could come on here to have questions answered and just receive some much needed positive words and encouragement. And once again when Willow is in crisis, you are all here for us. You all continue to be amazing people!! SOOO MUCH APPRECIATED!!!

Thanks Dyana, and to all of those who have donated. We are up to just over $400 in donations. We don't have the final vet bill yet, but it will be in excess of $400, so we will gratefully continue to accept contributions.

I did the same thing as Dyana....in too big of a hurry was my excuse but I'm sure Randi will know.

Jordan....I've done my share of sitting in ERs and watched people come through who didn't have the $ to pay for the treatment they needed. I am so glad that
someone started LLEF....I would hate to think of any of our LL kitties and beans in that situation in an emergency.

I sure do wish we could help out .. unfortunately twix's vet appointments this week have completely wiped us out .. But I will continue to send prayers and positive thoughts your way!

i know you guys were there for me and Rocket when i needed you the most...thank you so much for helping us when he was taken to the ER on Jan1

i made a small contribution...i wish it could be more....i hope it helps in some way...

Donations are wonderful, but thoughts and prayers for Willow are just as appreciated!! Willow wouldn't have survived his DKA when he was first diagnosed if it hadn't been for the caring people offering thoughts, prayers, support, and advice on this board (and of course the vet techs and two doctors who took the time to better educate themselves to properly care for him).

Hey Randi... I just wanted to let you know that I received the receipt from the E-vet. Thank you to you and LLEF for taking care of that. And thank you to everyone who has offered support in any way, be it good thoughts, prayers, advice, and/or donations. You are all amazing and so very appreciated!!! It has seriously been such a relief to be able to just focus on getting Willow better. He really has come a long way since Friday night. He's back to eating, purring, walking around, jumping up, snuggling, and being his adorable self. Still have the occasional off moments, but definitely a huge improvement! We are so lucky to know such a wonderful group of people!!
