Morning all,

I suspect based on my +6.5 reading from last night that her number this morning would have been lower, but Smudge charmed 1/2 can of food out of my husband at 4am. I swore I told him the 2 hour rule, but he works a lot and forgot I suspect. Still, not terribly upset by that number as a food-on board number.

Not bad. My husband does the same thing. Just feeds whenever.

He tries, but my first cat 20 years ago trained him to feed on demand, and all our cats since have re-enforced the training, so asking him to remember NOT to feed when he's about to go to bed after a long night at work is going against years of conditioning by the cats.

Overall the Levemir is having a positive effect as she is starting to act more normal, and is back to cleaning her fur more and obviously feels better so I'm thrilled by that.

Cats are so smart! With her numbers still high, it’s not a big deal her getting food so soon to preshot. More of a worry if numbers are low and you don’t know ifnit’s Safe to shoot without influence of carbs. At some point, it’ll be a good idea to get some tests just before her meal, and an hour later, so you get a good idea how much of a food bump she gets. +1 ‘s can be handy to get.

Love that Smudge is starting to feel better.
