Yesterday Neko had a better day than me. She did a nice yellow blue day then pink to blue slide. I however, slid face down coming up the stairs at night and fractured my right elbow. DH will be doing a bit more the next few days in Neko care. I'm not sure how much I'll post but will keep SS up to date. I'm going btb, was in emerg in the wee hours.

Oh no!!! Sending tons of healing vines and positive thoughts to you, and wishing for you to make a full and speedy recovery. Rest, girl.

I'm so very sorry. OWIE. I hope you're going to a good orthoped for your elbow. take VERY good care of yourself. I dare say, DH will be not only doing Neko duty but also Wendy duty!! Many hugs to him!

A testing experiment but hard with right arm attached to body. :lol: Thx all for your kind thoughts. A couple hours sleep felt great.

Oh no Wendy! I'm sorry you gots a bad booboo. . It must be awful to work with one hand/arm.
My son had elbow surgery recently and said it was horrible. Little different, I know.
Hope your hubby is a good human caregiver, and well as Neko caregiver. :-D

:shock: :shock: :shock: oh no! Wendy I am so sorry! What a nightmare for you. Amazing though how quickly one learns to do things with only one arm. I hope you heal quickly, and feel better as the day moves on. I bet Neko is taking good care of you.

Oh no!!! That sounds terrible, both the fall and the injury. How is this going to impact rowing season? I hope you brought that back down, Neko.

I suspect Neko went lowish while I was at the hospital. She was hanging around the kitchen when we left and the pattern looked a lot like a previous day when she dropped at +9. Oh well, Ms. P joined the conversation and we are recovering. I can feed cats and draw insulin, DH is testing and shooting. A team effort!

I didn't think it was a break when I first fell. I have tendinitis in the elbow and a buggy shoulder, so thought it was a pull or sprain at first. Late at night when I couldn't sleep I realized it was worse. Of course civie Theo wants to climb on my chest all the time now. :roll:

@Liz - start of rowing is delayed a month, the first thing I asked about. :cry: On the slightly humorous side of things, one of the other of our boat foursome broke his right foot 3 weeks ago. DH is being very cautious now, don't want things to happen in 3's.
 
Oh my! Neko must be worried about you to give that purple number> Pls tell him that you will be fine & promise to get better soon, Wendy!

Just getting caught up with Neko and then I see what happened to you!! Bummer!! I sure hope you are feeling much better today and am sending you tons of healing vines. I broke my elbow one summer when I was about 10 or 11 years old--fell out of a tree. I spent the rest of the summer playing croquet with one arm. I hope you'll find something just as much fun as you recuperate. :smile: Heal well, my friend!
