Morning everyone! Oh boy am I ever sleepy! Running late, too! The AMPS is with some food, as not quite two hours withholding food, Maggie is doing great and back on track after yesterday when I had to leave some hc and do a BCS. Unfortuately, I think I may need to leave a little hc for her again this morning, as I have an 8 am Dermatologist appt. for skin check-up (CA sun damage), nothing serious :( !!!
After the appointment I have to visit PetsMart and return the Sophisticat Supreme in exchange for some delicious FF food. I may have time for a bg check.

Special kitty prayers and healing vines for all the kitties not doing so well today!

Wow, 126 on the Alpha Trak!! Maggie, that's a great amps! Everything is a go for the big party tonight. I'm already at Camp Stu, hooking up the grill, laying the fire, and checking out the ice on the lake (we don't Tess or Maggie to go swimming), See you later.

Hi Ann, good luck with your skin appt. today. My dermatologist says that anything that turns up now is a consequence of something you did 20 years ago!!

Hi, I am back from the Dermatologist and just had some benign spots frozen off with the gun type instrument they use. I have a problem with my scalp mostly. I have very fair skin. Ella, you're so right; skin cancers are the result of damage done 20 years or longer with too much sun (me). I grew up in PA and used to sunbathe any chance I could in the summers. When I moved to southern California 29 years ago, I used to sunbathe at the beach with friends on weekends and take walks in the sun, not always applying lotion as much as recommended these days. We didn't have the knowledge back then that we do now. I see a Dermatologist yearly now and if I notice anything suspicious make an appt. for a check-up.

I can't believe Maggie's bg# 112. I even left hc out for her. Of course, the spike may hit the end of the day. I think I'm missing some low numbers for being gone when she has her Nadir. I even gave her a bcs this morning, probably close to a .25.

Hi Ann. I'm so glad your appt went well. I've had 2 surgeries on bottom lip for sq. cell cancer, and want to scream from the rooftops for people to use sunblock, especially on the lips, because it's so easily licked off.

In my day, no one knew about skin cancer. We slopped baby oil on ourselves, thinking we were going to tan better. We were just frying ourselves.

Those are very nice blues for Maggie. I'm glad she stayed safe while you were gone.

Re: 2/18 Maggie AMPS 126; +6 112 ATrak

Thanks Barb. It seems like today her Nadir was at the +6, but I gave her hc around four hours earlier. This weekend I will be home to monitor. Oh that must have been painful to have the squamous cell on the lip and go thru two surgeries. I'm guilty myself for not applying on the lips; thanks for mentioning it. I do remember my good friend using baby oil in Florida on our vacation after we graduated high school! We all wanted that tan!

Re: 2/18 Maggie AMPS 126; +6 112; +10 91 ATrak

I was trying to give Maggie's ears a break since I did give her hc this morning and also did a bcs, but she was begging me for food. Something was up with her, so I tested and what a surprise to get a 91 bg!! I'm feeding her and still can wait two hours to test again and have enought time to shoot. If she keeps dropping I'm thinking I don't want to do a half unit, but I'll wait and see what's up with her!!!!

AMPS 126
+6 112
+10 91

Not many checks as I was gone am hours, but even with hc, she has low numbers. Not sure why she's this low with the hc!

Re: 2/18 Maggie PMPS 119 ATrak

Good evening, Ann! Maggie's numbers continue to impress!! I left out the high carb today too, and am glad to be home to a lower than expected PMPS! Glad the derm visit went well... I need to schedule mine! Both my mom and grandmother have had skin cancer, and I'm extremely pale, so I have to be extra careful.

Hope your girls have a lovely evening!
