AMBG 250 Libre

We skipped insulin this morning and fasted Ivy to go to the vet for lab work to check her T4 values.
We are back from the vet. She’s very sleepy. I’m trying to get her to eat her breakfast and she’s sort of too tired to eat, but I’m trying to get some food into her.
Of course her BG is high, as expected. Hoping tonight she will eat dinner and I can give her her full dose on time.

She will sleep the afternoon away since she’s got sedation in her system She needs to sleep off:(

Hi Diane, I wish it were not such an ordeal and just a simple blood test. But you know Ivy everything is complicated with her. It’s just who she is.
It was interesting that her blood was not lipemic today having fasted her so that was a good thing.
Hope you’re doing well and staying warm. How are you feeling Diane?

I hope Ivy shakes off the defection quickly. I know how disturbing this is. hopefully she’ll eat her dinner and recover quickly.

Thanks, Eamon. It’s always a long day or 2 until she feels better. Poor baby.

Hi Heike, done for now is right. Just hope for good results of course.

It’ll take her a bit to rebuild her depot. But hopefully soon :cat:

Thank you, Diane, we really appreciate your support. I did give the full dose because she certainly needed it, but she wasn’t very interested in eating tonight. I had to spoon feed her throughout the whole night just to get her food into her.
We got most of it in, but she was a little bit short. I think she was just so sleepy. She just had no interest in food.
Hoping she coasts along safely tonight. :nailbiting:

I hope you hear about the results tomorrow and that they're favorable. I know how stressful Ivy's visits at the vet are for both of you ♡♡♡
