Good morning! ~O)

Normally when our sugar kitties test low (under 200) we wait to feed and test again in 20-30 minutes. This way the test will not be effected by food and we can tell if the kitty is on a natural rise or not. Gives us ideas of how to handle the dose.

It's ok you've already fed Charley...just leaves us wondering what, if anything, to shoot. You'll know better next time. :-D

It's still early but I hope the more experienced folks join in soon and can advise if they recommend doing a shot at a reduced dose or not. Charley may have a morning without a shot. :-D

Wonderful preshot this morning...
I see you shot .25 inot CHarley after he ate.
Glad you reduced because if as Teresa said, if they are that low, we like to wait 20 to 30 minutes
too see if their BG is rising, and if they are rising and have a shootable number(ususally newbies 200 and over)
we say feed and shoot.
Food will make their BG rise, but doesnt always keep it up there long so they can have a quick drop
BUt since you reduced by half, hopefully he will have a good day
Will you be around to test him today to see how he is doing?

I'll be home a few more hours. He is funny. He was in his pokey spot waiting for us to wake up this morning. He loves the little chunks of freeze dried chicken.
