Sneakers is doing some strange stuff- the last two cycles she was higher- in the 400's and because of my schedule I couldn't do more than ends with no in-betweens so I don't know how low she dipped.

The higher numbers- I changed her to Friskies to see how well she liked that and, though I had the less that 10% marked I did not have the less than 5% marked so did get some in the 5-9% range. Would that have made the higher number? (I know my normal FF is usually in the lower 5%)

Last night, since I got home late and shot late I was able to get a nadir, but her fasting shot was 100 points below the fasting on the last two cycles- and nadir was a good one. I can also get a nadir this am as well.

So, I know I will be going back to FF as she didn't care much for the Friskies. another question is that since I mix it with the chicken recipe- do I need to stay away form seafood as much? It won't be the only thing she would be eating.

Thanks.

It is so hard to judge when we cant get any numbers in between preshots
hopefully you can get some this weekend to help better judge what to do

Some cats are very sensitive to food and any increase in carbs. My Kitty, is one of them! I try to feed below 4 percent carbs. I accidently fed some 7 percent carb food for a couple of cycles and Kitty's preshot bgs increased 100 points. So, it is very possible that the increase in carbs was the culprit for the higher numbers.

As far as seafood goes--you will get different thoughts on this. Many say to avoid seafood and fish flavors totally--or at least, feed sparingly. Myself, I feed seafoods and fish flavors because Kitty likes them! I feed all FF low carb flavors, so she gets a variety!

Good Luck!

The food might be it- she has been pigging out these last few days. Her early morning nadir had been no food since 9.

When diagnosed she was eating almost 10oz a day, then slowed to 8, then slowed to 6. Now she is running 10oz or more.
Today- feed 1 oz at 2:30am, 2 oz mixed at 6, 1 oz FF at 7, came home at 1 and fed 2 oz mixed, at 6 she had 2 oz chicken, 1oz FF. Ate 1oz at 7 with shot (4 oz in an hour!!!).

The only good thing is it is heavily mixed with water. 1 oz food to almost 1 oz water.

Today's am nadir was 256.
