They look like The Olympic Rings!  so. well. anyways. ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and Double shot espressos, with beans from deep within the mountain slopes of Africa, AND.... for all my Mocha fans: a VENTI Quad cherry infused white mocha/mocha blend with white chocolate chips melted within, topped with a cherry whip garnished with candied cherry sprinkles and white chocolate curls. SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of cheery cherry and chocolate swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, topped with crystallized cheery cherries and chocolate drizzle.... I hope everyone had a great weekend, and a good Sunday yesterday. It was an OK one here, really didn't do too much, but did get in a walk to the shore, frozen, cold walks. Sure was a nice time out and about, even it if was cold. Here's what I wrote last night about the day: "Hi everyone! I just looked at the clock and it say 4PM.... where DID the day go? We had such a beautiful morning here - sunshine, a nice sunrise, and those predicted morning rains just never showed. Well, correction at least not until noon or so. The skies were clear this morning, and with the pending rains I decided to head on out early in the morning, and see if I could catch the sunrise at Meadowdale shore. I made that, but WOW: with winds were gusting there, and the temps was like 37, so...... I FROZE! It really was cold. But I did get my sunrise, some awesome wave action, and some nice photos to boot, so all was not lost. I finally had to head back to the house as I could not keep my hands warm, even with gloves. The rest of the day has been spent on getting bills paid, getting some things organized for my taxes, which I really want to get one, like yesterday, and working on organizing my photos.  The rains and winds eventually did make the scene here, with, I hear, lots more due tonight. I am so glad I don't have to go anywhere.... I will post the Picassa link to the photos in tomorrow's condo. Have a great evening everyone!"

Normalcy in MusketeerVille!   What to say about the kitties.... They have been good kitties, and even Lola! Well sorta on Lola... Lola will always be Lola. What a great addition she has proven to be for our family. She's full of mischief while also being one of the sweetest cuddliest lap kitties I have ever had. She's camped out on my lap as I type this, hear resting on my arm, so all typos are hers. I discovered yesterday that she has two fur mats, the size of walnuts on her belly near her tail.... So now I'm trying to figure out how to remove them without loosing my hand or fingers, or be bleeding profusely from all the scratches. She just does not like to be brushed, or have anyone mess with her belly at all. This will be a real challenge. I managed to loosen them some while she as napping yesterday and last night, amazing that she did not immediately wake up, so maybe if I'm persistent when she naps I can get them out. I dunno.... This ought to be interesting.     Bug continues to remind me of Mannie. Anytime I open the frig he is there. He seems to know whenever I have chicken on the menu, he never misses that either. Mannie has trained him well in the art of being a hoover at meal times. Bug still sleeps in Mannie's beds too. Elsa is Elsa, still being the matriarch of the group. It's hard for me to believe that she will be 18 in a few months. Way to go Elsa. The morning whacks continue. She sure does let the others know who is boss. Normalcy in MusketeerVille!

Have a great day everyone! I'm not too sure what will be here today. One of those days when I shall see what comes to be. If the weather clears some I may go do some local hiking. :-D oh ! Wait! There is that thing I keep putting off: taxes... maybe I will work some more on those.... maybe. :?

KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN cat_pet_icon

Morning, Michelle and gang.

I'll take a Cherry Pizza, please! I'll have it for breakfast since I haven't eaten yet. :-D And a ~O) to go with it, please.

I'm glad that every one is good over there, and everything is normal. Normalcy is a good thing. Or it can be anyway.

I hate doing taxes, but unfortunately it needs to be done. DH already did ours. Once it's done, though, you don't have to worry about it until the following year.

I hope that you get a hike in today after you get the taxes done. Have a great day!

Morning Angela ~O) ~O) ~O) One cherry pizza coming up! and lots of good brews! Elsa says to tell you she is on her way. ;-) Me too on that normalcy - a big hooray on that. Now if I can just get those taxes started, it would be perfect. SO true on the onceo it is done.... to today, for sure! THX too on the hike - that is the plan.

Happy Monday! It is funny how kitties each have their own personalities, just like kids. Love that Lola is such a lap kitty. And Bug taking on Mannie's habits is so sweet. Taxes, ugh. I got ours and Mason's done last week so I am glad it is over. Have a great day Michelle!

Morning Melissa ~O) ~O) ~O) That is so true, each one of the three here are very different, it does make for a fun lot. Lola and the lap is really great - such a different side for her, and I hope she continues to do so. I agree on Bug - I see alot of Mannie in him, which is really nice. Good for you on the taxes! That is next on my list.... ;-)

Good luck getting rid of those mats on Lola's belly. Why is it that long-haired kitties always get mats in the worst places? How sweet the she loves her lap time in the morning. Bug is one smart kitty. He's going to make sure he doesn't miss any snacks when you open the fridge. It's great to hear Elsa still has some spunk in her senior years.

Hi Michelle, and hey Elsa, thank you for my 10 Hour coffee and Double Espressos. I'll take three Cheery Cherry pizzas, so I can share with my neighbors. They see and know everything here and will almost trip you trying to see what you're bringing today.
It sounds like it was really cold with those temps and then the gusting winds make it feel even colder. Nice you were able to get some neat photos and see the sunrise. Oh my on the fur mats for Lola and fingers crossed you can remove them w/out some Lola claws. I had Katie's nails trimmed at the Vet's over a week ago and sorry I forgot to mention to them not to trim so short, as she loves to fly across rooms and jump off and on the bed. Now she slides off the bed chasing the cat teaser toy. They will grow back fast. So sweet the way Lola loves your lap while you're on the computer. Bug sure does sound a lot like Mannie, and no doubt Mannie had a part in leading you to Bug and Lola. Yay on Elsa turning 18 soon, and she is so healthy and still feisty with the whackathons. Have a great day and hugs and scritches from us.

Ooooo, I love cherries, and pizza, and chocolate....and cheesecake! MMMM. I will be on a sugar high after visiting you!

I hope you can manage to get those tummy tangles on Lola without losing any fingers! ;-) . A lot of things kitties hate to have done, are best done when they are sleepy  It's so nice that Bug is so like Mannie. I know you must really miss him, but it's nice to see similarities that bring back good memories, I'm sure. And I love that Elsa is queen of whacking!

Blech on taxes...I hope you got that hike! Have a great evening :-D

We have SUCH mat problems with civvies Noah and Petey. They're pretty good about brushing and even letting me cut some of the mats....but those belly mats and neck mats are off limits. I can't stand them. I know someone here had said something about some special comb that also safely shears the mat, but I can't remember who that was...and since Lola hates brushing, that might not work for her anyway. I hope you're able to find some way to get them out.

Let Elsa know I'm putting in an early request for tomorrow's 10 Hour Energy. Frankie has really been keeping us up lately!!

Those are amazing beach pictures - just stunning!

Have a great night, Michelle!

Hi Everyone! I hope your day has been a good one. Mellow ruled the roost here today. I managed a morning walk, before the supposed rains were due, and checked out a small trail I remembered from walks long gone, near the creek by my house, hoping that it would be a good one for Nicholas and William. Well, not really a trail anymore, that's long gone. bummer! The dept of public works are working on something connected to the creek, oh great on that. There are no trespassing signs all over the place too. sheshhh... so I walked where I could get a few hundred yards in only to discover that on the other side another housing development is going in where that portion of the woods used to be. wow on it all. not someplace that I will be able to take the boys too. The creek was pretty, but in that section there is no easy access. I did get all my tax prep work done, ready now to do the actual file part. I will wrap this up tomorrow, I'd really like this off my plate. done would be so good. Sorry I missed condos today, but I just wanted this stuff done! ;-) I will do better tomorrow. :-D

Hi Carla :-D THX on the mats - it is proving not to be an easy task, as they are so close to her skin.... :? I so agree on the worst places - Mannie got them there too, only good thing was that he liked to be brushed. Lola, no way. THX too on the kitties,me too! It is so great that Elsa still has some of that spunk. GO ELSA!

Hi Ann - Elsa has you covered: cherry pizzas, and good brews. She says she has ample for all your neighbors too. I told her to watch out for any tripping.... she went and got her knee pads. Yes on the cold yesterday morning - major BRR! But the sunrise was pretty, so worth the cold. Me too on those mats. I really should go and have Lola's nails trimmed too - her claws are incredibly sharp so.... working slowly on those mats. not easy! Bug really is alot like Mannie, not as social as he as, but the rest is there. THX too on Elsa, almost 18. WOW! I can so see Katie sliding....

Hi Rachel - LOL on all of Elsa's concoctions! major sugar rush huh. I know on thsoe mats.... it would be easier f they weren't so close to her skin, I'd just cut them out, if she'd just hold still I probably could... nope! wiggley and feisty is deadly. so far I can work on them a little while she is sleeping.... if i'm gentle enough and don't wake her up. I think so to on Bug, being alot like Mannie - it really does bring back good memories. YUPP on Elsa!

Hi Amy - mats are fun aren't they? NOT! Mannie had them alot, but he liked brushing so it rarely was an issue. Miss Lola however, no way! I kinda remember something too about that comb that will shear them - dang I too can't remember who... I wonder if that would work with Lola, i dunno.... :? So far,we try and work them loose, a little bit each time I pet her. or mostly when she is sleeping. LOL: I only get so far... then it's whack with the paw.   I will be sure Elsa has you on her list! She says too that she will talk with Frankie... Hey - THX too on the pics - it real was pretty there, even with all that cold.
