Nice drop there for Elian!

With regards to the smell of Lantus, there's no need to panic. The only thing to be concerned about is Elian's #s. If you see them start to get higher over a day, or 2, or more, then it's probably time to change it as the pen or vial that you're using may have lost its potency. The smell has nothing to do with it.

Hi Caryl and Alex! E is E.....cuddling, purring, keeping his little bit of distance from his brothers and enjoying the cooooold weather we're having today. In fact, it's so cold that they all wanted out on the patio as usual and came running right back in to their afghan blankie (the pic posted on facebook)! Wimps! They're all snuggled on my bed now. Will continue to monitor him thruought the day and hope that eventually we will see him in the green again,

Thank you Angela. As we know from yesterday and his dosecrease it's obviously still potent - he dropped into the green like a rock! I was surprised to read about an odor because like I said - I am so sensitive to so many smells and yet I never noticed a lantus smell! Now I'm gonna have to go and sniff the bottle!!!

good luck with the new dose! Can you get some more tests today in case he zooms down as fast as he did yesterday? Yesterday's cycle started about the same as this one, though on a slightly higher dose. There could still be some influence from the 3.25u depot affecting this cycle.
 
In case anyone wants to know, what I called Susie about is that we don't necessarily WANT to see green right now. It's very lovely of course and would be our goal in the long run ...but right now it is those treasured little greens what is making Elian bounce right back up to the reds. It would be so much more lovely to see him to a nice yellow surf with maybe a little blue and perhaps he would not go soaring back up into the upper 400's at shot time. I don't want anyone to think I'm giving off board advice. I just got the feeling that maybe she didn't understand why these bounces were happening...and I was kinda right.

407 AMPS
296 +3
174 +6
212 +9

I'm guessing/hoping this is more of what we're looking for.....no big bounces.
 
Thanks for clarifying and explaining it to me so that I understand better, Caryl. I really appreciate it.....once again! Sooooooo glad I met you all those years ago....which I believe was 7 years ago this coming week! Jenny's birthday weekend. Hard to believe.
